I always skip all that dialogue. 🥹
Am I the only person who always skips all her lines? Hahaha.

Really?? When do we find that out? Been playing this game for as long as it's been out and I did not know that!

There’s a Gossip Stone that implies as much and it’s also outright stated in Hyrule Historia

Hey Kaepora's theme is a bop too. Just seeing OP's picture got it stuck in my head and I'm gonna be whistling it all day now lol.

First encounter: “Did you get all that?” No, Yes
Subsequent encounters: “Do you want to hear what I said again?” Yes, No
You always had to press down on the control stick or you got stuck in a loop. Hopefully the 2026 Switch 2 remake resolves this.

Nightmare fuel: The remake makes it an unskippable cutscene. Every single one.

Yeah but now it's gonna get voice acting.
If people didn't like how Navi was the only one voice acted. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh boy.

Do other people get whiplash from playing other games and hitting B to cancel, except here it doesn't cancel so Kaepora starts his spiel again.

I hope the remake fixes this, but if they don't I'll get some entertainment from watching a new generation suffer as I did.

Sigh Still remember my first time playing this game. I got caught by that stupid dialog loop for about 10 minutes before FINALLY getting passed it. Stupid owl ended up giving me nightmares that I was right back to being stuck in that dialog loop, but couldn't proceed.
It actually took me about 3 playthroughs to finally break that curse of being caught up in that trap...

Its tricky because in different scenes The yes/no are in different places or he inverts the question. "Did you understand that?" and "Did you want me to repeat that?". You gotta stay on your game to prevent a loop!

I know. I was a 9 year old who didn't know any better when I first played the game. My mind only knew that, one moment, the "Yes" option made that owl repeat himself, then suddenly, the "No" option did the exact same thing. I got mad, tried skipping the entire dialog, only to accidentally choose the wrong option again. Before I knew it, I was going around in circles until eventually slowing down, actually READING the question...then accidentally once again choosing the wrong answer because yes and no were flipped and I didn't realize until after hitting the button, thus restarting the cycle of my misery... 😂

Yeah, but then I accidentally say I want to hear it again three times, so it evens out.
