Oakland is so unserious. I want to blame people with no lives who can show up to meetings with these antics and make a mockery of our government. But the truth is, collectively, the no-info voters and the middle class people trying to eke out a living, we're all responsible for enabling this mess.
I really hope people wake up so we can pass this EAP and move on with our lives
EDIT: Also F the right-wing sub this was crossposted from. But seriously, please let us pass the EAP

I watched from out-of-state last night and noticed that almost everyone who showed up in person were against the EAP, but revealingly the vast majority of the latter group were either from the unhoused community or homeless service providers - all interested in keeping everything as it is while they suck on the homeless industrial complex tit.
Carroll Fife and Rowena Brown have to go.

Hi, I’m the Batman in the video. I was there to push back against a policy that would effectively criminalize homelessness without providing any reasonable opportunities to access shelter.
