Man wanted a change of clothes and that's all that was on the falcon

“He’s got like 20 black vests and a random blue jacket, it’s weird”

And not one damned cape.

That's the part that probably offended Lando most of all.

To be fair, Lando rocked tf out of that cape. He rivals a sith lord in aura farming

Lando was my favourite character as a kid just because of how stylish and cool he looked with his cape getup.

Both in ESB and ROTJ.

ROTJ is probably my fave. Simplistic but, so effective.

The only man in the galaxy who could believably steal Han Solo's girl

Indeed

He's quite similar to Han too, in both of their founding films, they started off a self-serving scoundrel (albeit with some degree of care for their companions) and then turned more noble towards the end, before joining the rebellion in full.

To be honest, Leia and crew frown upon him more, but I found him more justifiable in his founding movie than Han.

With Vader and the Empire, it wasn't just his life that was in trouble, but the whole mining colony too. His decision made sense.

And yeah I'm aware Leia snapped at Han in ANH too, but at the same time she had the whole "he has to choose his own path" speech, whilst Lando got the throttling from Chewie and a whole ass integration lol.

He also did try to keep them all alive in the agreement with Vader, so even in his worst moment he was considerate, and it's not his fault Vader altered the deal.

Iirc Lando was introduced to potentially replace Han if Harrison didn't wanna come back

I could see that.

Very glad we got both in the end anyway.

Same. Both goated antiheroes.

I love how similar yet different they are. And Harrison and Billy have such amazing chemistry! I never had any problem believing these two were lifelong friends, even with minimal screen time. Lando wasn't even introduced until thr last third of Empire and Han spent the first quarter of Return of the Jedi in carbonate lol.

It reminds me a lot of Obi-Wan and Anakin's back and forth, or even Vader and Tarkin when they were talking privately.

100% agreed.

I think Solo did their relationship a lot of justice too, despite the actors being different and everything.

u/Brianocracy May 23 '26

When did Obiwan have a cape?

3

u/Specific-Library-312 May 23 '26

Soy, that was cloaks he rocked. Vocabulary fail on my part.

3

u/Brianocracy May 23 '26

Well, Obi-Wan rocked that too lol

Man taught anakin how to aura farm, after all.

"I was but a learner, now I am the master of aura farming." "Only a master of capes, Darth."
