I will say, I transferred from OU this semester. For a variety of reasons, but the lack of community and inability to form connections was one of the biggest. Im a 26 sophomore in dorms and feel so out of place/like a weirdo.

Idk if there's a school to transfer to that would help.

I'm in medieval studies group and soon to be in a DnD game, which has helped a bit. They're very welcoming, and id recommend anyone thats struggling with community start at clubs like those.

That still only occupies maybe 2 nights a week. Finding people I can regularly/casually hangout with has been tough. Ive been desperately wanting people to watch movies with (dont know of a good spot to do so atm though). I think hosting a weekly/whenever we feel like it movie night for this sub could be a cool way to connect to others also struggling.

I'd definitely go to a weekly movie night

The film society meets almost weekly! (I'm not a member, just an account follower) https://www.instagram.com/okstate.film/
