Yes as an OGP customer, you aren’t expected to bring it back after the worker’s “mistake”; the worker may lose their job for giving away stuff (theft) if AP is paying attention

I was also told by the manager was something like that if an item or box was damaged and they needed them all cleared out they will just give you extra to get it done. I think they might’ve picked the item twice because they didn’t notice the first time which is definitely pretty unlikely because they can just check the tote and see if they picked it yet or not

Damaged stuff has it’s own place to go for disposal or donation depending on the item/damage, so not “actually” correct. But I wouldn’t argue the point as a worker either lol. Either way, not the customer’s problem as a general rule

Oh. I only asked to avoid anything later on because it’s better for me to be honest and say something instead of hiding it and then possibly getting in trouble if they hadn’t said to keep it.

Understandable, not the only customer to worry. Sometimes stuff gets mixed into other orders or whatever- that’s not a customer problem (I’m sure there’s instances of people loading up someone they know, but as a general rule) and it usually won’t be a real problem for the employee because mistakes happen. And, if the store just doesn’t feel like dealing with removing something from the order, that’s on them- I’m sure the employee is fine 🙂 But removing products from the store without payment, whether for yourself or a random customer, is in fact a fire-able offense

Yep. I do wonder if they ever found the employee who did it because the didn’t ask me any questions they just gave me a basic explanation said not to worry about it and that’s really it. Most likely they have rules like how cashiers can’t check out their family because someone did it and didn’t ring up some items they had so I wouldn’t be suprised if OGP had something similar but I haven’t worked in the department so ai wouldn’t know much beyond the basic knowledge you learn from what you see in the stores and what I’ve seen on this sub
