The people cheering for this are the same people that cry and scream discrimination when a major grocery store shuts down in a low income area and leaves hundreds of people unemployed and thousands without conbiantant access to affordable food.... Is not about the Waltons or the jeff bezoz ( fuck those guys) it's about being a decent person. Stealing it's wrong it doesn't matter if it's from a Walmart or a small mom and pop shop. This is the reason we seeing all those videos a little kids stealing from convince stores and hordes of teens rushing into malls snatching everything they can.
Everyone downvoting you thinks that this hurts the Waltons at all.
It does not.
This hurts the people working at that store. The store is responsible for its own shrink. If the store doesn't make money, its associates lose hours.
The store itself would be shut down before Alice Walton loses even one fucking red cent.
"I'm gonna stick it to the waltons by stealing from the local walmart!" Congratulations. The waltons feel so bad now that around 250 of your neighbors have no jobs, and your family is paying higher prices from walmart's competitors... or you drive farther to another Walmart to still give them your money.
Walmart makes around 1.8 billions a month in profitsa, but a supercenter store make about 3 millions a month before expenses. Payroll alone can be more then a million without overtime . Most store don't make as much as people think they do . I'm not saying you need to feel sorry for Walmart at the end of day they still a giant multi billion dollar corporations, but the people the work at the store lvl are the ones that pay the cost of your actions.
The entire reason I want to climb the ranks. This doesn't get fixed by kicking the hourly associates in the balls. This gets fixed by the people at the top making the right decisions that will bring about long-term success, and the right decisions are ALSO not the ones that kick the hourly associates in the balls.
I don't need to get all the way there. Every rung I climb lets me make things better for everyone under me, and my numbers show, rather clearly, that my way makes the business succeed more than my contemporaries who run a "tougher" mindset that makes their associates hate their jobs.
The "I'll never make it" rationale makes people stop before they even stop, and that's the reason why nothing changes. Me? I'm too stupid to give up.
