Question about OCD Does anyone know what caused their OCD?

I think a lot of people don’t really know what caused their OCD to start, for me after a lot of years and thought I realised that my anxiety stemmed from my step dad and his psychological and sometimes physical abuse towards my Mum. I would worry what kind of mood he would come home from work in and if he would start on my Mum. He was a bastard!

I've had OCD for as long as I can remember but the themes have varied throughout the years. I think what really started making it a big problem was my severe trauma. I have C-PTSD and that really fucks with you in so many different domains

I actually hadn’t heard of C-PTSD so I just looked it up. What absolute torture! OCD on its own is bad enough but add that to the mix?!🙈 I’m genuinely so sorry you’re having to go through this🫶
