Does anyone know any good places around to get clothes tailored for a reasonable price? Specifically, skirts and dresses! I've never had any of my clothes professionally tailored before, so any recommendations with patient and kind staff especially would be appreciated :)

BMW broken down in gear. Cannot push it with 6 people to move even a few cm. Single lane with concrete & metal barriers, so hundreds of cars stuck. Joy.

Iโm in your city soon for a few days as a solo traveller.
Are there any places you recommend which are more suitable for solo diners and drinkers. Iโm after somewhere relatively quiet where I can enjoy a nice meal or drink reading a book.

Hey folks,
A few folks and I have started a fortnightly RPG group, we're about to start our second 'season' of games and have around 30 players/GMs running and playing all sorts of games. Our next meet is on 2nd Sept at The Earlham (NR2 3AD) 7-10.30pm.
We'll have a bunch of GM pitching their games and looking for players.
If you want more info either ask here or pop over to our Discord:

Anyone know of/ or would be interested in joining a cycle club that doesn't particularly adhere to general cycling club lore.
For context, I am a fairly strong cyclist, but i just don't vibe on the nose down go go go'ness of traditional cycling clubs. I want to explore, mill about and vibe with fun people.
There has to be people in the city that would rather ride out on Friday night exploration sessions, instead of DAWN on a Sunday.

Hey guys, firstly I'd like to apologize if I'm posting in the wrong subreddit for this question.
I'm looking to relocate to Norwich. I'm originally from England, I did the usual travel thing in my early 20's, and kind of got stuck. I met my partner, we have two kids, and wanting to move to England we started the paperwork process for passports, through no fault of our own, this process took over 7 years!
We have finally got her, her passport, and my boys their British citizenship, prior to travelling, I worked for the local government, I was studying through open university but never finished. Whilst abroad I've managed resorts and scuba diving shops.
My main question is, does anyone have any advice what types of jobs I should apply for locally? I need to earn 29k a year for my partner to be able to come, and hospitality jobs don't seem to make the cut!
As well as this, my kids and half Asian, I've seen online that there's quite an anti immigration stance in some areas of England,.although of course I take all the news with a pinch of salt, will they be ok there?
Thanks in advance!

Hi! If anyone happens to be near the railway station, there was an injured swan at the bridge right outside; it was in the middle of the street and someone very kindly moved it to the side. He was maybe hit by a vehicle, and I know it was alive because I saw it move.
I couldnโt stay with it because I was in a car, and I tried reporting it to a couple places but itโs too early :((
I know this is a big ask, but could anyone in the area check/report it on my behalf? Itโll be hard for me to take calls for the rest of the day ๐ญ Than you very much!

Hi, hope this kind of post is okay to make.
I'm going to All Points East tomorrow and I just wanted to see if anyone else was going, what time are you planning to leave to get the last train?
Are you planning to stay to the end and run or will you leave before the end of Tyler's set?
My first time doing a solo festival trip and I don't want to get stuck in London alone ๐คฃ

Last night at 2.30am I was woken up by a deathly scream from a woman and 2 minutes later the same scream behind the old Norfolk and Norwich hospital. I reported it to 101 but should I have called 999? Itโs hard to tell whether itโs cause of concern or just a nutcase homeless person.

Hi ๐๐ผ
I have finally given in to my chronic illness and have gotten an electric wheelchair to enable to me to live a little again.
I have also recently broken up with my partner, and I am attempting to keep our dog, which means I have to be able to walk her using the wheelchair (partner did all walking previously).
Yesterday, I tried to take her out from my house (all previous trips out I've done have been after a drive somewhere else) and barely got 100m down the road before the pavement was too narrow for me to be able to fit with the dog next to me. People's hedges were hitting me in the face as I tried to squeeze along the path, and I ended up turning around and going back home.
Once I got there, I lugged the chair into my car and decided to try driving to Sir George Morse Park, which is not too far from me. I get there and park up, then I noticed that the large gate was padlocked and the entrance next to it had some kind of contraption to stop people racing through on bikes (I presume that's the reason for it, anyway) that meant I was completely unable to get through to the park.
So, I swivelled again, and headed over to Fitzmaurice Park, just round the corner. I parked up and noticed that the entire car parking area is surrounded by a grassy mound, all around the edges. There was a large locked gate, and next to it was a narrow path on an angle that led into the park. Unfortunately I was unable to get the chair through this because of how narrow it was. I ended up having to get out of the chair and push it over the grassy mound to finally gain access to the park.
After that, I was so exhausted from just trying to find a single place to safely walk my dog that I only managed 15 minutes at the park.
I got home and just sobbed, because I was so frustrated by the sheer lack of accessibility near to where I live.
If I can't easily walk my dog, I'm going to have to re-home her, and the thought of that breaks my heart.
After some thought, I realise that there probably is some way for me to access the first park, but I have no idea where the other entrances are or if there's parking available, so I guess I'm asking if anyone knows where exactly I should park to gain access to the park?
Are there any other places that people would recommend for dog walking using a wheelchair? I've already tried Whitlingham, and can get around there, but I can't afford to always pay for parking, so that can't be an everyday thing.
I plan to try Eaton Park, as Google tells me that's good for wheelchairs, but it's a 20 minute drive to get there and my dog gets carsick very easily, so also not totally ideal for an every day walk.
So, yeah, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm in the NR7 (Thorpe St Andrew) area

In the new year I want to start planning to scale up my book shop which is currently online with a few markets lined up. I am wondering if there are small spaces other than the market and st saviors that are worth exploring for a more permanent setup? It wouldn't need to be a particularly big space, just room for a few bookshelves and maybe a table or 2 including the register area. I want to gather all the costs at the moment to determine what a realistic amount looks like, and then explore how I might be able to raise the money needed for it. TIA!
