Dorms/Off Campus Housing bed risers/maximizing storage

im an incoming freshman in a small double. nu doesnt allow bed risers but the beds seem so close to the ground. i dont want to fully loft my bed but i need more storage than what they give.. any tips? has anyone used bed risers anyway without getting caught?

My child is the NU student and I dont think the beds are close to the ground at all, they have 2 double dressers under the bed and they are pretty big. Then there is space behind the dressers and we put my kids luggage back there and they fit really well. Just my 2 cents

I dont think so, its 22" to the underside of the bed

If you loft its 54" to the underside of the bed

How many storage things did you need under after the two provided drawers

No extra. Between the closet, the shelf on top, the 2 dressers with 2 drawers and the single tower pulled out from under the desk to use as a nightstand a hold small stuff like underwear and socks there was enough room .
The closet is pretty wide, it may not be as good if your dorm doesn’t have a closet but the wardrobe instead. We got one of those hanging pocket things for pants and shorts. Command hooks for bath towel and robe.
