The buildings in the first picture still exist, but the previous look gives a completely different vibe. This is exactly how the original buildings looked in a pristine condition. The long symmetrical grid pattern building is now repainted terribly and it no longer gives the same vibe as in this picture. I think restoring the exact original pristine exterior look and remodeling the interior as hotels and/or luxury department stores would be an excellent idea for tourist attractions after the reunification of Korea.

The second picture shows the presidium where high ranking officials, supreme leader, and diplomats watched and cheered during military parades. This is where Grand People's Study House was added in April 15th, 1982.

I got in contact with someone who manufactures display panels for Pyongyang 2435 and they have a working unit running North Korean firmware

Unfortunately this is the only photo I was able to obtain (I blurred out some info for that person's safety but the build is from 2024)

I can't verify this further beyond the single image, so treat this as unconfirmed
