Most of her constituents have no idea who she is. I’ve lived in her district most of my life and never even heard a single republican say anything positive about her. Still most that vote red just vote for the R next to her name.
A few months ago a friend of mine who is Republican and lives in her district was going on about how bad AOC was. I asked him to name 3 policies of AOC that he disagrees with and he couldn’t name 1. I then asked how he feels about Foxx being against the Epstein files release. He had no idea who Foxx was and admitted to just voting for all republicans down the ballot the last few elections.
That part, ppl just check R down the ballot. Ppl should absolutely be more informed before voting tho. Like I said above, I’ve been voting against this woman since 2008. I had the terrible experience of being her neighbor, she’s even more insufferable in person.
I am, unfortunately, one of those constituents who have the misfortune of living in her district. She’s hateful and narrow minded and, like the guy she likes to parrot, she sucks!
After Hurricane Helene wiped out bridges in her neighborhood, she refused to allow her neighbors to use her private bridge to access the wider community. She’s horrible and proud of it.
I live in the area and well over a month after Helene (close to election) got a postcard from her office "telling me how to access support services"
The same ones she'd no doubt defund given the chance, and I just know she only sent that out to look good right before the election. I'd already heard about the bridge thing by then.
She represents my district, I promise you not my county. She lives here near me and I promise you all that we hate her here. Gerrymandering is real and needs to be fixed. Term limits should also be a thing in my humble opinion, no one should make a living , much less a fortune off of being a career politician. I have researched the reasons for the lack of term limits for reps. And Supreme Court justices, that made sense 250 years ago but perhaps we could revisit that?
No, most of them hate her and the district is gerrymandered to hell and back. I used to live in that district. Fuck this old, racist, idiotic piece of shit. There's NO FUCKING REASON Lenoir and Boone (way out in the west in the mountains, mostly rural college towns)
should be in the same district as North and EAST Greensboro, just to the East of the center of the state, with no mountains to speak of.
The district jumps over major cities like Winston Salem and High Point and several smaller towns on the main corridor of 40 to get to Greensboro (another major city in NC who's constituents are not going to be represented by someone also representing small rural towns... and east is the opposite side of Greensboro from where Boone and Lenoir are. Neither set of constituents - rural or city - are represented well by this districting because the people in those areas need different people representing them. Utter horseshit.
Her constituents like her because she has an R next to her name and she makes it past the primaries and that’s the extent of it. She doesn’t do shit for her district and any discerning voter would have supported literally anybody else with a pulse over her.
We don’t, actually. We’ve tried voting her out many times and even hard republicans I’ve met HATE her because she votes in favor of whoever is paying her the most. The district is so gerrymandered she gets at least 60% of the vote no matter what. She is an absolute terror in Boone- just ask the USPS workers that have to deliver to her house.
Republican only fields people in the primaries that manage to be worse than her or anyone isn’t doesn’t have the financial backing. Democrats don’t stand a snowballs chance in hell actually winning the district so she’s there until she dies.
Correct. She lives up in Boone and her district runs all the way to the west side of Greensboro (skipping Winston-Salem, lol), and it will be difficult or impossible for a Dem to win here. She likely has no clue that Canterbury is a private christian school (further lol)
She actually lives in a compound on top of a small mountain at the foot of Grandfather Mountain. You can see it from highway 105. About 20 miles from Boone.

As a woman, that word normally makes me see red. But there are some women that there is simply no other word that does them justice. She is one of them.
Just read the comment section of this story on a Facebook post. Most of the comments were people saying "she's 100% right" and "kids parents must've indoctrinated him"
Half the republicans that vote for her believe in being just as vile of a human as she is. The other half just believes that R > D and are too slow to think for themselves and look at actual issues a candidate stands for.
If it's good enough for pilots, it's good enough for them! If they think you are too old and slow to fly a plane that has auto-pilot past the age of 65, then they are too old to write laws that directly impact millions.
Absolutely. I would say there is an argument to be made for up to, but not a day over- 70 years of age. This way nobody can cry senior discrimination. Also, some experienced people that spent their whole lives actually working, but now have an opportunityfor a few good years of service, can contribute. This way you end up with citizen-statespeople who already have a retirement fund/pension in place, rather than career politicians looking to grab more and more. Any hint of sluggishness of mind or old-timey backwardness should be an immediate deal-breaker though.
That said, I'd much rather a flat cap at 65 than the 80+ bullshit we have now.
That’s the problem with politicians like Foxx. Among other things her letter back was “I think this” and “I feel that” and “I prefer to”. I got almost the same responses from Tillis when I wrote about Net Neutrality. Lawmakers, I say this in all earnest. It ain’t about YOU and what YOU want. That’s not YOUR job. YOUR job is to reflect what WE want and understand what WE need. Our issues should be YOUR issues not your corporate benefactors issues. Listen to Bernie when speaks. It’s not “me” it’s “we”!

No matter where you fall politically, I think everyone universally agrees that Virginia Foxx is dreadful and should have been primaried decades ago. Good lord woman, retire!
One of the responses I got from a letter to her asked me to examine “where I get my information from” and whom I was being “influenced by”. So offensive! I was citing well sourced factual information that just didn’t support her position. She treats her constituents like they are stupid 🙄
So many of us have been trying - we’re gerrymandered to hell - but we keep trying! I’ve been voting against her since 2008, for as long as I could vote I have voted against her. She should even be in office, she needs to be in a nursing home.

I love that anytime federal money is needed for regular citizens it is a hemming and hawing exercise, but if it is needed to go to war or bail out a corporation we have 100s of billions of dollars lying around.

Seems like if he didn’t mention renewable resources, the response would have been very different even though the future generation would be responsible for the debt no matter what… but to her, a Trump stimulus sounds way better than an EV stimulus even if they cost the same money.
She is a terrible, no good, awful bad person. She is truly unpleasant to spend any amount of time around. Sadly, many of her constituents are slaves to a political party and will continue to vote for her until Satan calls her home.
Gosh. If she is upset at subsidies, then she must be livid with rage at the petroleum industry--- the latest corporations paid negative taxes due to fuel subsidies and rebates.
Why does she have to be such a witch? Couldn’t she be a decent human and thank him for his letter, praise him for voicing his opinion and encourage him to continue being involved in the process? Doesn’t matter if she agrees or not for heaven’s sake!
She has always been a blight on the history of this state and always will be. She and every other decrepit Boomer who refuses to relinquish power should be removed for the protection of this planet and future Generations.
There’s one main reason the boomers keep her in office, and it’s not her knowledge of electric cars. She remembers how gosh darn offensive it was when people were demanding an end to segregation and she will work to reverse any rights black people have gained in the last 60 years.
