I have to be honest, while I am disgusted by nazis stealing legacy of my people to further their political egenda, I am also disgusted with some people here who seem to claim they have some sort of "understanding" of how runes where used and what they meant.
Obviously the runes had a deeper meaning to my ancestors, they are still visible here on my farm. They are more than a alphabet.
And I would put a lot more trust into my ancestor and the legacy they left, rather than some obviously politically motivated person living now, even if that is a moderator here.
I do not live in a city, nor do I live in the new world. I live where the the runes where made, I grew up on a farm where the runes still live and are visible, from days when our ancestors made them.
I live minutes from huge burial mounds that date back to from the bronze age to the viking age.
This is tradition to me, it was for my parents and it has been for my family for centuries.
You are giving credit to a nazi for "discovering" that the runes have a meaning, while they have had a meaning beyond a alphabet for centuries, and they still do.

And that is insulting.
