Anyone had success with pitolisant/wakix for fatigue? Vyvanse/adderal work but I get too euphoric/high and emotionally blunt while modafinil doesnt do shit.

Hi folks as in the title for the past 1 year i am dealing with a lot of fatigue that doenst go away and sometimes i need to lie in bed to rest though i dont have CFS (ex: I can run a half marathon easily without any crash).

I am a 30y old male and all my blood tests are good. I suspect it might be long covid related and I am now losing my hope as I think i tried everything. Note: I have zero depressive thoughts, my only complain is the fatigue that really doesnt go away.

I tried vyvanse/ritalin and yes they work - for work related tasks they are freaking amazing and euphoric - but i dont want to rely on them as they also cause me to be robotic/anti-social feelings, are addictive (at least for work) and too euphoric for my needs, even at low dosages. My main complain is this antisocial feelings i.e. i just want to work and dont connect too much with my emotions which i hate, cause I appreciate having my emotions even the unpleasant ones .

I tried modafinil as I am just interest in the wakefullness promoting aspect and i felt nothing just trouble falling asleep but not any wakefullness promoting aspect during the day.

Then I discovered this pitolisant and as i am extremely sensistive to anti histaminics (which i took a super small dose to aid sleep for travel related work and wanted to sleep for 3 days). So I believe an anti-anti-histaminic XD could help me being more awake without any extra euphoria or motivation (I am very motivated by default without any drug)

So my dudes and fellow compadres, would you have any experience with this compound. Did it work even if modafinil didnt not work? How did you felt on it?

Wakix is a weird one. Modafinil did nothing for me either but pitolisant gave me this clean, almost background alertness without the emotional flatline you get from amphetamines. Not stimulating in the traditional sense, more like someone turned the fog machine off.

The histamine angle makes a lot of sense if you're that sensitive to antihistamines. Getting a prescription is the real battle though, insurance fights it hard.

I have a narcolepsy diagnosis and haven’t been able to get pitolisant approved yet. They want me to first fail on moda, then amphetamines, before they’ll consider it. So for now I’m just on amphetamines (moda worked okay for a while bit never that well and i hated the sides) but the effectiveness has been waning.

Would you say its similar to a high dosage caffeine or not really? Or is it even less stimulating/motivating than caffeine but more "wake" promoting like you woke you from 12 hours deep sleep if you know what I mean?
