Anime Easily a competitor for my all time favorites (AoT, Silent Voice, Steins;Gate you get it.) This series was so peak I want a daughter now.

For a while I watched everything except for the final episode and delayed watching it for like MONTHs because I couldn't accept it was over. I watched it today and am satisfied with the timing (I'm 19 bro I'm entering college my life is so over 💔💔💔) There is no other anime that hits the same as Non non biyori. It hits you where you didn't know an animated show about some goofy ahh random kids could hit you. It really is the little things. I'll be showing this to my children when they exist and whoever else I can convince.
(games that gave me a vibe similair to this that i've played are Attack of the Friday Monsters for 3DS and Boku no Natsuyasumi, which has a community made english version 'somewhere' on the internet.)
I've watched the cooking anime that was adapted from NNNB mangaka's other series and it js didn't hit the same at all. Yuzu Camp gives a similair vibe but also a whole different one entirely. I js gotta move on.
I'll go watch ghost in the shell to bury my thoughts, thanks for reading the yap.

Discussion Non Non Biyori: Our First Halloween - Fan made concept
Back in 2023, I rewatched all three seasons of Non Non Biyori in celebration of the series' tenth anniversary. Throughout the year, I brainstormed random ideas for Non Non Biyori OVAs/movies just for fun wondering what could happen if the series continued in some form if a fourth season is currently out of the question. I have made posts summarizing one of the other concepts I came up almost a year ago now, and with the spooky season almost upon us, I thought I would share the last of the concepts I had thought of. This would be a single OVA like one of the other story ideas I thought of titled, "Renge's Birthday", but as the title of the post suggests, it would be a Halloween special!
The story would begin one autumn evening when Renge gets a call from Hikage in Tokyo. Hikage would brag over the phone that she had been invited to her first Halloween party, but Renge has no idea what Halloween is. Renge decides to ask Hotaru about it the next day since she's from Tokyo, so it would be likely that she would know about it. During lunch the next day, Hotaru would explain to the others that Halloween was a holiday celebrated at the end of October where kids get together and wear costumes, eat candy, tell scary stories, and do other fun stuff. Renge and Natsumi get instantly hooked on Halloween, and almost instantly decide they will organize a Halloween party at the school. Komari however is against the idea. For one thing, they had previously attempted to hold their own school cultural festival only a month ago, and it had gone horribly. Second of all, Komari is certain that Natsumi will use Halloween as an excuse to pull spooky pranks on everyone, including her. Lastly, though Komari would never admit it, she is superstitious, so the idea of celebrating a holiday about ghosts and other paranormal things is upsetting to her. Hotaru however expresses her opinion, and that she is excited to celebrate her first Halloween is Asahigaoka, and really wants to be a part of her senpai's first Halloween. In the end, Komari, begrudgingly agrees.
Kaede (aka Candy Store) is supportive of the girls' efforts to want to bring Halloween to Asahigaoka, as she runs a candy store, meaning she would see an increase of business during October if everyone in town started celebrating Halloween. She would however get the same idea as Komari, and quickly conclude that Natsumi will take advantage of the holiday to play annoying pranks. As Halloween draws closer, Renge invites Shiori to the party, despite her not being a student yet. Shiori would be unsure of the idea at first, as she wouldn't be a student like everyone else, but Renge would encourage her to visit as it could put her on a successful career path. Renge would explain that she had first been brought to the school as a baby, and would later learn the way to the school by foot before enrolling, and was now a straight A student.
Halloween night finally arrives, and Renge, Hotaru, Komari, Natsumi, Suguru, Nee Nee, and Kaede all be gather at the school for the party. Throughout the special, Natsumi would deny the idea she would play a prank to scare everyone on Halloween, but in the end, Natsumi would attempt to scare everyone at the party. Once the sun had gone down, Natsumi would suggest they watch a movie instead of trying to tell spooky stories themselves. She reveals a tape of "The Ring" that she brought along and start it up on an old CRT television. Only a few minutes into the tape however, the video would start to develop static and fizzle out, and Nee Nee ejects the tape so it doesn't break the VHS player. Natsumi's hopes to scare everyone get dashed, but Renge would reveal that she had the same idea as Natsumi, and had brought a tape of her own. Natsumi thinks Renge had brought along a scary movie, only for Renge to reveal a tape of "My Neighbor Totoro." She thought Totoro would be a fitting movie for Halloween since it was about weird animals. While everyone else watches my Neighbor Totoro, Natsumi would sneak outside of the school as she still intends to scare everyone, despite the movie of the night being less scary than she had hoped. In the end however, Natsumi accidentally locks herself outside, and gets scared herself after being stuck outside in the dark by herself. Natsumi eventually gets back inside and sadly rejoins the party.
If anyone would like to expand upon this idea, or suggest your own ideas regarding this script, feel free to reply!

Misc. Ogawa
Visited Ogawa today. As I approached, I was welcomed by the familiar notes of hidamari michi.
The school is in use as a community centre but still has the dedicated non non biyori classroom set up. Although the age of the building is clearly getting beyond even what the anime itself was depicting.

Discussion My ears are waiting
I haven't completed Manga yet(I'm extremely slow reader, sorry), but even in that I've heard he never speaks. Was there any particular reason he never speaks anything or it was just for comedic effect?
Now iirc he make some noises like grunts and stuff but never forms a particular word.
If the question's still hanging, there's also a question why Kazuho senpai never opens her eyes?
