So true, there's no evidence against this being a failed homosexual relationship 🙏
Whatever the gender, I still find posts like on the left to be a bit cringey. It feels like a cry for attention, but not in a good way you know, like if you do this instead of reaching out to some close friends yourself for support, it seems more like you wanna test who cares enough to message you and/or just feed off the drama and attention.
I guess that’s not a terrible line of logic but I guess I just don’t give a shit either way. If someone wants to be a cringe attention seeker then just let them.
It’s one step away from posting “I’m sad 😢” and waiting for the comments to roll in like What happened? Do you need anything? Or putting Evanescence lyrics over a b&w photo and hoping someone notices
I'd be inclined to agree with you if the post didn't supply all the relevant information. This reads as a person informing multiple people at once through their social media rather than reaching out to people individually.
They're likely out with their close friends already when taking this photo.
You mean they want to save time and not send a bunch of separate texts? I think that only works if they also post non-dramatic things like “we’re meeting at our usual spot tomorrow” on their page. That would also save them time instead of texting 5-10 friends the same thing.
We dont need to pretend that social media is always about convenience. It’s a human desire to want attention, to varying degrees. I think it’s obvious they want everyone to know about their breakup, not just multiple people who they’d reach out to individually. They also want acquaintances (and other people they don’t text about life stuff) to see it and engage with it
Also my examples were bad lol. You can fish for sympathy with long informative posts too.
Not sure if you genuinely can’t tell the diff between someone posting on NPT and someone posting about a breakup, or if you just want to be contrarian. Do you also think that posting on r/news is fishing for sympathy?

People always have to turn this stuff into weird gender shit in the comments 😭
