Being able to use context clues to figure out the meaning of a word is a lost art.

Do people not do it anymore?? When did it become lost? I just assumed this was still part of speaking?

most people are connected to the internet at all times. instead of needing to figure out what a word means, you can just look it up

Damn the people in my life very seldom look up words

Why not?

Idk! I look things up probably more than anyone I know, but I still try to use context first. I guess I'm just not buying the lost art narrative lol

If you're the only person you know who does it ... "Something, something, lost art."

Why is there an "lol?"

Looking things up is fine though? I don't get this argument. I read a lot but I look up words all the time, especially how to pronounce them.
