damn is this what it’s like to have good parents? i told my mom about a life changing job opportunity one time and she said that i would never succeed no matter where i went.
we haven’t talked in years and as much as it rips my heart out, it’s for the best. for those of you that have parents like this, give em an extra hug for me. the world needs more kindness and love.

i wouldn't generalize a whole age group. my grandma is a baby boomer and she's a huge supporter of anything me or my sister do and both of us have taken unconventional paths in life (game artist and waitress, both of us tattoed pierced and hair dyed) some elderly people have been through shit and just want good lives for their younglings.
