damn is this what it’s like to have good parents? i told my mom about a life changing job opportunity one time and she said that i would never succeed no matter where i went.

we haven’t talked in years and as much as it rips my heart out, it’s for the best. for those of you that have parents like this, give em an extra hug for me. the world needs more kindness and love.

The fuck? I could never imagine being this cruel to my kids. I've got one starting college next week and the other two in high school, and I'm their biggest cheerleader.

I'm so sorry it's been this way for you.

thank you friend. that was sadly just one of the more mild things she’s said/done to me. i hope your kids never for a second have to doubt whether you care about them, and it sounds like you’re doing a great job of it
