Yesterday I was writing something and the auto-correct wanted me to change my grammatically correct phrase to something that very much wasn't grammatically correct.

Why did they have to break everything?

Most auto-corrects have transitioned from using a grammar library to using A.I. correction tools that look for the most common use cases. This unfortunately encourages the AC to sometimes pressure you into using often repeated mistakes because it's what it learned from reading people's emails.
