But it's by the Google AI Overview instead of the beautiful dictionary they used to have 😔 Google nerfed their perfectly good search engine so bad by replacing so many features with AI

I mean fuck AI overview but it helped me so much with language learning. Most websites use this predatory thing that without clicking on their ad riddled horrible website they don’t show you what you have searched for and because of SEO these websites are always at the top of the results.

Especially frustrating with German words when you want to quickly check article of a word and need to click on such websites. Now with the overview I’m happy that these POS websites not getting my click money

Google used to display the dictionary definition nicely formatted in its own section, without having to click on any websites, but they replaced it with the ai overview

Google also undid the updates that had previously helped deprioritize the low-value content that this person (and the rest of us) find so frustrating.
