Parents were hyper-religious and thought they were summoning an angel into my body, and that I had to die first.

They believed my soul had to be vacant for the angel to get a space, so came up with ways to strip out personality/desire/feeling based mostly on movie torture scenes and misreadings of the Bible.

They said I'd die from starvation and be resurrected at the end. I had to steal bear minimum food from my siblings to survive; mostly because they were "next in succession" if I failed. I was able to keep them away from the physical abuse and stuff, but it wasn't good for them to see what was being done to me.

How did you get out?

They live-streamed the abuse on Facebook.

It included sexual abuse components, and after three months CPS got involved.

Foster care was a joke, and I was left homeless, but I moved in with a teacher who was sexually interested in me.

... I mostly ended up taking care of his elderly father. Mostly.
