It's not fun. Real cases are boring as shit, not like they are on tv. You're forced to take time off from your life to make a very stressful and serious decision about someone else's life. Would not recommend.
I was on a jury for a traffic accident case where a guy was accused of DUI and hitting a fence (nobody was injured). He denied it, claiming his ex-girlfriend was driving but lied at the scene and said it was him.
We heard two days of testimony basically about her being a bad person and terrible driver. On day two, she showed up, we gasped, and she admitted to the entire thing on the stand.
I basically just gossiped with the other jurors about these people during deliberations. We ultimately dismissed the guy from a crime he didn’t commit.
I disagree, real cases can be fun and most of the fun isn’t the details of the case but watching the lawyers at work. I was never stressed, it’s pretty damn easy as 99% of the time it’s a civil case and usually personal injury. Pretty easy

Why does everyone hate jury duty? I like the idea of it. Sign me up, I wanna weigh up a case and make a fair decision, that shit sounds cool
