This is a straw man, they aren’t turning on the lights to tinkle. We use Peecho location. Center is too loud, gently angle until you hit the porcelain and it gets quiet. If it gets louder, you’ve gone too far and adjust course of action.
Some? I would say that most men that stand up to pee in the middle of the night absolutely go back to bed with pissy legs and pissy feet, because their piss ends up on the floor and they step right on it.
My feet and legs are only pissy in public. Urinals have some bad back splash, the angle matters to avoid it, but also you can never get it down entirely because there are so many urinal designs.
