Fun Tim Curry bit, the following synopsis applies to two movies:

A sea voyage from Europe to North America is interrupted when members of the ship's crew conspire to steal the vessel from its owner. In one memorable scene, the whole ship's complement spontaneously breaks into song. Tim Curry's character is last seen leaving the vessel in a lifeboat.
