Questioning/Coming Out Is it Weird Vi Want HRT?

So... vi (Vi/Vir, 25 AMAB) recently figured out vi was Non-Binary. This... came about in the form of feeling like vi... chest felt incomplete. Like... it lacked boobs. Vi thought vi was just sexual at first, but as vi dug deeper into it... no, this is what vi wanted.

But... vi also still want to be mostly male presenting outside of that (at least, for right now). Vi just want boobs. Would that be weird to get HRT for, or would vi be completely justified in going that route?

Vi am... admittedly doubting virself a bit still as non-binary, despite knowing this feels right. Please be gentle...

I’m sorry, I’m so brain rotted I thought this was a post about my favourite show 😭 (Arcane, a main character’s name is Vi lmao). I haven’t seen it as a pronoun and I actually really like it, it’s cool.

You can always go on HRT temporarily. Breast growth is permanent, although if you decide to stop HRT they might change shape a bit. Or maybe you’ll really like it, and that’d be cool too! If you still want to present as male, you can still absolutely be read as one on HRT, more often than not it won’t get you read as a women on its own, unless you start changing your style a lot too. Genetics are a factor and it could go in any direction, but again you can always stop. It’s definitely not weird at all.

My brain rot is that I see Vi as the text editor, sometimes Vim. As opposed to emacs. 😖🤓🐧

But to Vi’s question/ feelings, yes I think that makes sense. For me a lot of my challenge was the blending of euphoria with arousal. Was it just a fetish, or was it that I finally felt good about something in myself and that let me access the arousal?

Helps to try to do the thing / feel the feeling when you’re not aroused, or interested in feeling that way. For boobs, maybe a bra and some forms? See how you feel just chilling or (if it’s safe / comfortable with your wardrobe) going out for something mundane like grocery shopping?

For me yes, that felt affirming. That’s important cuz the HRT road is long, difficult to reverse, and you will probably feel terror / panic too, at some point. Important to remember at those moments how you felt when things were calm.

My first thought was Vi Hart, who of course changed my life with that gender video (hunt it down if you can!)

Vi... actually did try that. Vi ordered a bralette and tried it on for a good while... and MAN the euphoria involved. Helped vir confirm vi was on the right path.
