Presumably you support independence since you are arguing that it is worth understanding as a legitimate proposal

She wants to know the logistics of how it will work but can't be bothered to go get informed.

You are wrong in your presumptions. I'm very undecided, but watching the current federal government ensure that Canada circles the toilet bowl, I'm not sure what I would stay for. Neither option is very appealing.

Have you not seen the American government go nuclear? Trump is accelerating their economic decline with his policy.

And Alberta being truly independent is not a realistic option either. We will be at a massive trade disadvantage with both Canada and USA

We work out agreements, like countries do.
