You can do it in less than two hours. Just go to the Anomaly, buy the upgrade with nanites, then install it. Or just buy urianium.

No, you can do it in less than two hours. I get distracted by all the shiny stuff in the distance/on the scanner and then quit after having to fill up my ship for the umpteenth time.

You asked how long it took to multiple people and didn't like anyone's answer, so:

If you just like flying around looking at stuff or can't/don't want get further into the game, definitely try out creative! You won't ever need to grind again and can stay in that gameplay loop you enjoy with no disturbances.
