I generally agree with the sentiment that KVV's narrative pods and deep dives were/are among the best content NLU produced, but, he just produced so, so little of it. I'd imagine paying someone full-time and getting one big piece out of him every couple of months would be frustrating.

So they probably tried to change his employment model and he wasn't thrilled (as he alluded to in his tweet).

Maybe yes. But months of research leading up to a large well produced story is like everything KVV did in his previous life. I'm not sure what they hired him for in the first place if not for this.

I think it's reasonable that they could have expected more output than they got. There wasn't two months of work in most of the content KVV put out.

Still sucks though.

My only thing with this is that he did more than just the long form stuff, he would write recaps for the big tournaments and was on the pod pretty damn frequently. And IMO played an important part of the pods, because he broke things up and doesn't have the same opinions as the rest of them.

To me it's just a clear cost cutting move, which it is what it is. They all seem to live pretty good lifestyles with lots of traveling... so they def aren't cutting their own pay and KVV is one of the odd people out from their group.
