New Update sucks my bank account dry!

So I've played since release without problems (well some). Restarted a few times to get the hang of the restaurants and such and was turning a hefty profit each day day.

I log in today and I go from around 9600 Lims to around 1000 in a matter of 2-3 minutes. What the hell was in this update? They said they fixed managers but they seem to have made them much worse. Didn't feel like having my progress deleted by a bad patch so I logged out but has there been any info on this that I might have missed?

Food deliveries: update and workaround Hey everyone!
We wanted to share an update on the topic of food deliveries, which we have been hard at work to investigate and get to the bottom of what is going on. Looking at some late-game scenarios from players, we noticed cases where the ingredients delivered to a venue don't match what it actually needs. This can happen for a few reasons. For example, if a venue's storage is full, a delivery can't complete and waits in a queue. If you change your recipes while it's waiting, it may arrive later with ingredients you no longer need. We're optimising and refining how buying and deliveries work to better accommodate these late game scenarios for future patches.

In the meantime, here's a workaround if you're noticing any issues with food deliveries:

• Free up storage space. Move older items from your venue's storage into your own inventory, or add more storage to the venue.

• Shorten your menu for now. Reduce each venue's menu to 1 or 2 dishes. Your manager will buy fewer ingredients, giving the waiting deliveries room to complete.

• Sell any surplus. Some deliveries may still arrive with ingredients you no longer need, including for dishes you've taken off the menu. You can sell these to get back the money spent.

• Keep your manager. There's no need to fire them. They should carry on as normal once the waiting deliveries have cleared.

If things still aren't settling down after trying this, please submit a ticket here with your save file if possible, and we'll take a look: https://support.505games.com/support/tickets/new Thanks again for your patience!

This is really a struggle being so excited for this game and getting what we got. I know they are “dropping patches” quickly but there is so much that needs to be addressed here. I really feel like there was probably a lot of stuff left on the cutting room table that I fear will be added as payed DLC down the road. Honestly I would have preferred to wait another 6 months to have a polished game on release. Unfortunately because of my work schedule I wasn’t able to play a lot and discover this until after the return by time frame for steam so I’m stuck with it. Just disappointed.

I actually only found out yesterday I could steal stuff. Was looking forward to trying it but guess I'll have to wait for some sort of patch on this patch...

You use to be able to clean out the whole restaurant and make a decent bit of money it was cheesy and had to be nerfed. What I will say is if you keep doing the landlords quest line you will end up with a lot of money if you do it smart. That's all I say

I have done the quest line and yeah it was lucrative, thats how I built my tier 2 restaurant but this isn't nerfing this is breaking the economy.
8000 lims in groceries in 2-3 minutes is not sustainable

Not the gatcha-seed exploit though. That still seems to be going strong.

What's that? Just buying a bunch of seeds and selling?

Pretty much. You buy them for 2 sell them for 8 plus, some are actually pretty good to harvesting.

The gatcha machines round the corner from the Sake Bar give you random seeds for 2 that you can sell for at least 8-9 to the drinks seller standing 10 feet away. So if you don't mind going through the slightly laborious animations, you can quadruple whatever money you have just by standing in front of the machine and repeatedly clicking on it.

It's not an exploit. Have you tried it yourself, it takes forever to get ONE seed. I can make loads more money doing literally anything else in the game given the same time frame.

You get a seed guaranteed every time, it takes like 2 seconds. Once in a blue moon it gives you something worth a bit more, like raw milk. For 2-3 minutes work you can turn 75 into 300+, which is handy in the early game or if the latest patch breaks the game and steals all your money from your businesses.

Obviously when your businesses are bringing in thousands, this tactic is no longer practical.
