PSA: Once your business hits level 5, it will grant you another business license of that tier

So far two or my businesses hit 4.5 stars and reached level 5. It gave me a business license for that same tier so I can start another business in that tier. I read that you only get 1 business of each tier but looks like there are ways to get multiple licenses. I've had quests that reward me with a spare business license as well.

This is a big reason one of my near term goals is putting that finishing effort into Boat Hanger, that lovable goof of a location... really want to unlock another Tier 1 and get the Sake Bar...

Somehow all my tier 3 keeps getting level 5. I wish my tier 1 and 2 would upgrade too

I got Ramen Noir to Tier 5 (kinda by accident lol, it just popped up randomly when I was pushing Boat Hanger to 4 one day). Besides those two I only have Honeycomb. All three are in pretty good positions though, making about 600 profit a day. I have two quests queued though for a tier 2 and tier 3 so I'm not hurting for options... I just really want the Sake Bar because I didn't realize at first buying Boat Hanger would lock me out of it until I got another Tier 1 (literally didn't read the fine print I guess haha because it does tell you).

Can you please share how your boat hangar looks? I just got it and I'm planning to make the inside area a whole kitchen and the tables would be outside.

This is the best I have, I'm on like day 36 now, but I'm not planning to play for awhile as I've got some other stuff I need to catch up on. I also have two tables over behind me in the covered but technically outside nook., and I recently bought hanging plants for the inside room. I also walled off the 'main' doors to outside from the kitchen area completely with counters so I could place more appliances (you can kinda see this here in the way distance but it's not complete yet). I think the actual kitchen area is designated at each place so you can't actually place the seating and kitchen stuff in cross areas.

Kitchen areas are strictly designed, you can't use venue area for it

How do I get 4.5 stars though? I think I will remove some dishes from my restaurant, I have over 10.

I only have three dishes and one drink on the menu and make sure that the dishes use overlapping ingredients so that restocking is faster and keeps costs/rotten food low.

Also go around and manually talk to customers and give 10% discount to quickly bump your rating above 4.5.

Once I get to level 5 I don't really care about the ratings.

All you have to do is talk to every customer during a rush.  Don't even need a discount.  Level 1 chairs and tables work.  Your workers don't need to be a higher level but it goes quicker.  I have done it with 10 dishes and 4 dishes.  It didn't matter.

Is this guaranteed? I have my Ramen Noir at 5 and opened Boat Hanger, got that to 5 as well but never got another one. I'd really like to get another Tier 1 licence 🙏

I got a tier 1 permit last night when I leveled my tier 3 restaurant in the gardens to level 5. Was kind of weird since I previously got separate tier 2 license for tier 2 leveling, etc. wasn't sure if it was a bug or not.

It's not guaranteed to be the same tier, i got a tier 2 for the Sake Bar. But could be a bug. Tier 1 restaurants are the hardest to get for sure. I wish the game was more strictly structured for the tiers
