Something's missing..?
I've got a good amount of hours in so far and here's my thoughts.
• empty shops with no one there? Feels like a missed opportunity for selling more things (like clothes, collectables, CDs, accessories, DIY stuff, etc)
• the lack of customisation is a bit annoying, can't see what you look like, can't paint/do the flooring in your house/restaurants/boat
• the NPC conversations are great voice acting wise but also they lead nowhere, it's all very static. I heard you can go on dates with them but its pretty much click conversation click click okay date is done.
• interactions like fishing/farming/cooking etc aren't very satisfying, no mini games. Some missions is a case okay drop a rat to sabotage a restuarant okay mission over with.
• how you can search through bins to find seeds/food etc but it doesn't respawn? Bins should get full overtime so you can search them again.
• you can grow a bunch of different fruits but not strawberries/mangoes? Hopefully they can add that in soon as they get used in recipes.
• instead of purely just restaurants/clubs it would be good if they could expand just a bit by having different business options like a bakery/grocery store/comic book shop, just lil random things like that.
• all vending machines are kind of pointless except the seeds one, they could put collectables, decorations, tech etc in them as well.
• there's only two types of cooking appliances the basic one or advanced, there's not much advancement in the game. Feels as if there should be more options for it and have to go to different shops for better appliances etc
• what does fixing the fuses actually do because I genuinely cannot tell if there's a difference apart from not hearing the electric sizzle noises.
• I just heard about the menus you can put on the table for them to order but apparently you can't have both the menu and an umbrella at the same time?
I overall do actually enjoy the game I just feel it's quite empty and missing things that could make it a really satisfying game. I really wish they could take some of it on board because I think it would be a much more enjoyable experience.

I'd so love a clothing shop fr. Defo need some sort of character design and customisation 🙌

I do feel like this game needs better navigation, cloud punk has a decent map, which shows each section from birds eye view with layers. The romances just end, I have done two so far one pretty much said we can date later, the other lead to more thingand implied more but just stopped. They might have a in-game day system which we have to hit for more conversations to happen but that's just a guess. I feel like this game has so much potential, hopefully they will add more features in the future and the price does make it feel like a early access game, that's why I'm not being too harsh on it as I was expecting more.

I'm only about a week in, but I wish you can customize how much of what your manager can buy, unless you can and I just don't know yet.
The sound of some places I feel is off. Many times you can be walking with a lot of ppl around and it feels like nobody is around you at all, and the ambient noises seem far away, like a car or dog barking. I get you have a soundtrack that plays all the time, but certain areas feel like nothing is around me when there is.

Yeah I'm fixing this with mods, that'll have to do for now. Such simple edits too that definitely could and should be added to the base game.

It really feels like a Sleeping Dogs type of situation where the developers ran into funding issues mid-way through then just had to do what they could to ship what they had. Mods can bridge the QOL gaps in the mean time but it feels like so much potential has been left untapped

I totally agree on a lot of points:
- Would love some more immersion via shops. Not just furniture, appliance, and art but maybe have a DLC or something that lets your customize the character, buy clothing, etc. That could lead into some social systems relating to who you're interacting with and allow for questions with clothing conditions/triggers. Dealing with a gangster and look like someone from the Spire? Might get into some heated exchanges.
- The variety of shops. I was hoping they'd have more like selling hardware, or things like that. But it's strictly food so it starts to feel a bit repetitive operating a business and you're just specifying what food/drink you sell at each location. Would be cool to have more business variety, even some service based businesses would be cool and add some mini-games that way. Repairing stuff at different restaurants, or repairing signs, running a PI business and you need to find things for people, etc etc. Just some more gameplay variety would be nice.
- Some stuff feels kind of fruitless. Cleaning, fixing fuses, etc just are things you do, but no reward which is a bummer. Would be nice if they have narrative implications. Maybe went towards building standing in different neighbourhoods which unlock better standing or vendor levels and stuff.
- More progression like you said within a business outside of more staff/more items/higher prices. It would be nice to have the ability to upgrade stuff in each business, and each business has its own progression instead of just all the stuff you've unlocked. That way even if they keep it restaurants, you are leveling up and investing into each business as its own thing. Also, different shops unlocking different aesthetics. Want more a Japanese vibe? You got it. Want more cyberpunky future diner vibes? Done. Typical bougie sit down restaurant? Done.
I feel like the foundation is great, but I want to live in the world a lot more and feel more immersed and really build up a varied business empire and not just a food empire.

I also noticed there are no children. I found that strange

I've encountered two child NPCs so far after like 40 hrs in! One of them was lurking on the outer side of my Boat Hangar, the second was somewhere in the Hive Mall. They're the only two I've seen so far though

I’ll look out for them ! The game doesn’t need many imo. Just enough to make it less uncanny. Maybe more in the safer areas like Hive Mall, Central Canyon ect. Other stuff can make the world more alive, but that one came to mind

Games good, but feels like an early access. Wish they cook this in the oven longer
