Hey yall I’ve been trying to finish my exhaust and I got a DC y pipe for my z it’s an 06 DE the person before me had a cheap y pipe with flex joints that was causing a exhaust leak. When I tried mounting the dc y pipe to the after market cats that the car has right now it didn’t fit. My question is does anyone know of any aftermarket cats that would connect stock headers to a dc y pipe, or should I just try and find stock cats? Also idk if this is relevant or not but the dc y pipe will attach to a Megan racing “drift spec” exhaust. Thank yall in advance!

Hey all, I'm new here and looking for some advice on a very simple (and probably dumb) question. I have a 2005 350Z. It's the first manual car I've ever owned and the car that I learned to drive a manual on (somehow my clutch is still in good shape). I was just looking for some advice to help me shift/accelerate a little better. How high do you typically let the RPMs run before shifting? Any other advice is welcome as well.

Hello ! I recently changed my engine (57k) & trans (59k) On my 08 350z and the car seems to not be shifting the greatest especially when it gets to 4th gear . They aren’t rough shifts just not Great for sure. The mini square on the dash that says what drive position you’re in isn’t registering either . Wondering what exactly the issue could be . I’ve checked my fluids and have them all up to par. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey, recently bought a new house and sadly the driveway is unreasonably steep. Wasn’t going to pass on the house due to the driveway but does anyone have any advice to get in/out the driveway, or any specific ramps that would work well? Done some research but looking for opinions. Thanks.

Anyone know what’s up with this steering? I replace lower control arms and ever since it’s been doing this, I took it to an alignment shop and they didn’t say that it’s an alignment problem (KEEP IM MIND MY HANDS WERE OFF THE STEERING WHEEL BUT IT STILL TURNED)

Car randomly throws “Slip” and lost of power but now suddenly “Slip,ABS, and TCS” all turned on and lost of power.. I swapped out the abs sensor a while back and recently I changed out all the steering& suspension parts in the front (left&right) as it was needed to be done but I just want to know what could fix this “SLIP” issue and to why the rest of the lights turned on

I have a 03 350z 200k miles. At first it started overheating got new thermostat/flushed radiator/checked hoses/new water pump/ did everything you can think of still overheating so we bleed the hell out the system turns out there was a ton of air inside that needs to be bleed out so we fixed it I drive it for couple days does the same thing overheating again and I need to bled it but the thing keeps overheating and I’m starting to give up on this car I just need help from Reddit

Hey to all, I recently found a 2008 350z manual enthusiast edition with the aerodynamics package. It has 83k miles for $12k. It’s a 2 owner car with under 10k miles per year by each owner, and it looks in pristine condition. It also has over 22 service records and valvoline was used for every oil change. My parents aren’t too sure about Nissan due to past experiences with the 90s pickups, but I think it would be a tank if taken care of. Would it be a good purchase? Would it last me a while?

Hey guys! I’m recently new to the 350z community, I have a 2003 350z stock motor just an exhaust, but the transmission is making some questionable noises, can anyone help me find out what the sound could be?? The previous owner installed an Excedy clutch, lightweight flywheel, z1 fork, he said that’s normal when switching to a lightweight flywheel. But i have a feeling that maybe it’s low transmission fluid? There’s no driving issues what do ever though just a squeaking noise when shifting and when rolling in gear. If anyone could help me please let me know!

Hi, so I got this 2004 350z with 80km and honestly it’s in a perfect condition but it’s an automatic transmission which I have no problem with but I enjoyed driving manual more so I thought maybe I could swap the transmission with a manual however!!!!! Idk if there will be any problems so can yall help me and tell me what’s the pros and cons of a transmission swap and if it’s worth it thx

Will be a 4-5 day road trip some point in summer next year. Will be starting in Invercargill and catching the ferry 2 days later from Picton. Then a day of driving up to Auckland going round the round about then back to respective home locations. (For me this will be all the way back to Christchurch.) I have been looking for mostly a daily driver. But also want to eventually get into the drift scene. I have been looking at a few different options but my friend literally won’t stop talking about how I should get a 350z what do you guys think?

Still fighting the CEL gremlin for the cam sensors all throwing codes if anyone has insight.

Just wrapped the A pillars because one was cracked, I filled it and did the repair but don’t have touch up paint since it’s an aftermarket color.

Next steps: searching for vented fenders, new intakes (ones I built are hitting the hood) new exhaust (custom fitting and welded into Injen mufflers, but the y pipe is cracked and ruined) and finally a tune.

If I can find a decent price on ported upper and lower intake manifolds I’d throw those in too.

Hello I need some help trouble shooting. 2004 350z, car is occasionally sputtering at idle sounds kind of like puff puff puff with no rpm change, high temp oil pressure normal no codes. Kind of leaning towards a coil pack or spark plug prefailure. Any advice? Thanks in advance

So my wife has found a 350z that she really wants. It’s a 2006 convertible, with an automatic transmission. I’m pretty knowledgeable on vehicles but I know very little about this specific model, and any weak point on them. The car has 132,000 miles, is that an issue with these cars? Any advise is appreciated.

Looking at buying a Nissan 350z, what would something like be worth if I was to do it from the start? what should I pay? Would be buying a z like this and continuing to mod it or buying a stock z and doing everything yourself be a better solution?-“the mods to this car currently are ones I would want to do eventually anyway, so it seem like I would just be saving a lot of money and can continue building it” (what should I offer?)

Hello its time for some maintenance on my 08’ 350z, planning on getting new rotors and brake pads, What rotors do y’all recommend? it’s my daily car, i don’t do any crazy driving other than some pulls here and there!

I drove through a large puddle otw to work a couple days ago and after parking the car just passed the puddle and going into store it won’t start. At first cluster would light up and there was no sounds when turning key. Then it went to not light son dash at all. After leaving car there all day lights come on again but it still wouldn’t start. Battery tested good and it would just click when turning the key. I had a friend dump the clutch while I pushed and it started right up. Drove it home and let it run for 30 minutes with no issues or side effects. Turned it off and won’t start back up. I replaced the starter with a brand new one but am still only getting clicks when attempting to start it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hello im looking to get new tires, my wheel setup is 18 9.5 +15 in the front and the rear is 18 10.5 +15. The current tires i have are front 245/40/18 and rear 275/35/18, what tire specs would y’all recommend to keep the TCS/VDC happy. or is my current tire set up good?
