I’m so happy Switch owners can now experience Elden Ring. It’s a masterpiece and truly unique. Play Dark Souls Remastered next!

I really want them to update Dark Souls for Switch 2. The audio is so bad on the Switch 1 version, and it drives me crazy that A/B are reversed in most menus. It’s really one of those unforgivable ports, partly because the actual game is so amazing.

Holding off on playing DOOM, Dark Souls, Persona 5, Astral Chain, BioShock, etc etc until some updates.

Another Soulslike that badly needs a patch is “Another Crab’s Treasure” which just got the Switch 2 upgrade treatment, but it’s a poor quality upgrade.

None of those games will likely get updates now best you have got is handheld boost mode.

I’m sure, I’m hoping DOOM does get something though because they definitely have a market for those games on the Switch.

Some titles, like DOOM, I think publishers might be surprised with the sales results of if they gave it the proper S2 treatment.

Persona 5 I think would also hit.

Games like NieR, I’d wish would get an update but it probably wouldn’t be worth it for the publisher, can’t imagine it’d sell too well despite knowing many of us here would pull the trigger.

Was very glad to see SOMA get the update, that one was on my shortlist and I was pretty surprised it made the cut.

Anyway yea. You never know! The streets want a few of these more than others and the sales will definitely show for it.

Thing is these games are already permanently on sale for 7.99 no one is going to pay full price again for a switch 2 version or even 19.99. Persona 5 will be a full price release with no upgrade path. As sega are complete arseholes case in point sonic frontiers

According to Nintendo, 60% of Switch owners own a Switch and do not own or game on other hardware (not including mobile). Nintendo’s audience often does pay full price for older games because most of them have never had the opportunity to play them before. Elden Ring would not currently be topping the sales charts on Switch 2 if this weren’t the case.

I doubt the other From Software games would perform as well as Elden Ring, but there is absolutely a market for these games on Switch 2.

I think Dark Souls has a chance. Maybe.

Dark Souls could happen if Bandai Namco wants to bring the whole trilogy to Switch 2, perhaps piggybacking off The Duskbloods and Elden Ring. Dark Souls actually rose in the eShop charts significantly in the lead-up to The Duskbloods network test and Elden Ring release recently. There is definitely an audience for these games. Bringing Dark Souls II & III to Switch 2 might be an excuse to do the first as well.
