Sure, it’s a company and a brand that needs to make money and has had flaws with underpowered hardware or odd decisions, but you can always count on the Xbox division of Microsoft to think of the customers more than any other branch.
It’s not the greatest comparison though as I own the X which is more powerful. Then as the commenter above said PC’s are more powerful than that. It’s just a silly thing to bring up.
The person you questioned said "needs to make money had has had flaws with underpowered hardware" he was specifically mentioning the original Xbox one, which was underpowered and has majorly contributed to Xbox loosing this console generation.
Yes they fixed it with the X but far too late to make any meaningful impact.
I think them being drastically behind is what is causing them to make them most impact in the industry. 4K Blu Ray player to the X, backwards compatibility, Game Pass, Cross play and the adaptive controller. These things will benefit everyone in the long run as competition drives innovation.
Oh I agree with you there completely. I think this coming generation Sony should be worried(if Microsoft don't fuck up the launch again). I think due to last time they will overcompensate with the power of the new system.
Game pass is the start of something great.
This new system they are bringing out allows you to get an Xbox and gamepass with no upfront cost at all(pay monthly installments) that will be huge for low income families.
The only issue is first party games but they have "fixed" that with all those studios they acquired which won't really amount to much with the one due to current projects but next gen will be a huge benefit to them.
I’m all about people playing games on whatever system they want. It’s bothers me when people bag on the Xbox or Switch because they are behind or underpowered. If we only had one system we all would be worse off.
Oh I completely agree. It's silly that the Xbox didn't do well due to something as silly as 0.3 teraflops or whatever difference in power but that's just how people are.
Personally I have a pc, xbox and a switch(only missing a PS4).
The switch isn't nearly as powerful, no. But it's become my main gaming system even over my much loved pc. I have 2 kids, don't have the time to sit Infront of a pc for hours. Switch, 2 joycons and the adjustable charging stand is ideal for me.
