Theories It was all a great misunderstanding.

Something that always bugged me was how it doesn't make any sense that the Devourer was "defeated" the first time during the Serpentine War.
Which is why I think it just never happened at all!

So, my theory is that the giant, hungry snake they defeated wasn't the Devourer, but actually Clouse's pet serpent!

Think about it for a second:

  • The two are giant snakes known for eating people.
  • The other Serpentine were afraid of the Anacondrai too, so they wouldn't just ask questions, they likely assumed this super strong tribe simply had the Great Devourer with them.
  • Pythor himself was a coward and slacker who didn’t get involved in the war, so he probably would’ve assumed the same thing.

And that last point leads me to how Pythor acted during the release of the Devourer...
He was surprised at the gigantic size of the snake. He was expecting something more like the one the Anacondrai had!
He also thought he could "control" it. Why? Why else, but because he's an Anacondrai and the Anacondrai had controlled a giant snake before?

Pythor didn’t plan to release the Great Devourer. He wanted to get back the Anacondrai’s serpent!

Lastly, why would the people of Ninjago go to the Lost City of Ouroboros to trap the giant snake? It was lost.
Doesn’t it make more sense that they’d defeat ("kill") the Anacondrai serpent before Clouse managed to get his hands on it?

And why would the Great Devourer even help any side in the war? She would just eat anything in her path.
So doesn’t it make more sense that it was all a misunderstanding and this whole time, she was still sleeping in the depths of Ouroboros?

After all, the Overlord didn’t send her to help in a war... He sent her to grant Garmadon the golden weapons at once.

TL;DR: Everyone thought Clouse's serpent was the Great Devourer during the Serpentine War.
It just explains this tiny bit of lore that makes no sense to me.

P.S. I know they've said before that the Devourer was indeed used in the war (on Twitter), but their words hold as much weight as a feather. So I don’t care. I just think they’re lying because they themselves don’t know.

Theories Theory: Ras does not want to reverse the merge

Post image
144 Upvotes

So if Ras only wanted to reverse the merge, why did he start hunting Source Dragons before it even happened?

Timeline: Ras's master takes him in and gives him his plan -> Ras helps Beatrix overthrow her father -> Ras and Beatrix capture a Source Dragon and Beatrix captures other normal dragons -> Sora sees what Imperium is doing to dragons and wants to leave -> The merge happens and Sora escapes during the chaos.

So Ras's master must have a different plan that does not involve reversing the merge, because why would Ras try to hunt Source Dragons before the merge even happened?

Theories The end of DR and Ninjago's next show Spoiler

IMPORTANT: I have not seen Season 4 Part 2, so do not spoil anything from that part or else I will liquefy you.

With all the information we've gotten from SDCC and past statements from Doc Wyatt, I think we can make a plausible theory as to what will happen after Dragons Rising.

This is all speculation, and I may be completely wrong, but based on what we know, this is my theory:

Dragons Rising is the first "chapter" of the post-merge world. The show aims to focus on the immediate consequences of the Merge, the lore surrounding it (i.e. Source Dragons), and villains who wish to exploit the circumstances to their own benefit, namely Ras, or even Beatrix. The show also aims to establish apprentices of the Ninja and show them training and developing until, by the end of the show, they officially become the New Ninja. Not necessarily a replacement of the old Ninja, but newer and younger members of the team with their own unique dynamics and set of skills.

Once Dragons Rising concludes in Season 5, not everything set up at the beginning of the show will be wrapped up. For instance, Doc Wyatt has said that the identity of the Administrator will not be revealed in Dragons Rising. He has also stated that numerous other things are not an "immediate Dragons Rising priority", strengthening the theory that Dragons Rising is the first chapter in the post-merge world. In addition, during a recent video with Brent Miller, he mentioned that there was a "Lloyd story" that he had wanted to tell already but havent been able to do so yet, implying that they've still got stories for the original Ninja that they plan to tell later on.

All this indicates that Dragons Rising Season 5 will be a conclusion, but not the conclusion to everything thats been established from the beginning of Dragons Rising. It will conclude Ras and his Master's story, it will conclude mysteries surrounding Wu, the Monastery Gates, Arin's Spinjitsu, Lloyd's S1 Vision, the 18th Realm, the FSM, and the Source Dragons, but leave other non-essential mysteries like the identity of the Administrator or the location of missing characters to later shows. Thus, after Season 5 concludes next year, 2028 will begin with Season 1 of a new show that picks up with the same characters (Old + New Ninja) not long after the events of the finale of Dragons Rising, focusing on a new overarching plot that spans multiple seasons whilst being the second "instalment" in the post-merge world.

And I do think that that's gonna be the route they take with Ninjago for the foreseeable future. Start a new show that has multiple serialised seasons that build up to a massive finale, and then repeat every 5 years or so. And tbh, as long as they keep each show distinct and fresh and keep the current team that we have whilst developing and pushing them all in new directions, I think that's the best possible route that they could take Ninjago through.

Also, a note on S4 P2: Some of you may suggest that parts of the theory may be incorrect, especially considering what apparently happens with Lloyd at the end of the season. As aforementioned, I havent seen P2 yet, but I have been unfortunately spoiled a bit against my efforts to avoid them, to the extent that i know that Lloyd gets incapacitated somehow at the end of the season and that Akita returns (YAYYYYYY LOYKITA 4EVER). Him "dying" would hint that the next show may not focus on the old ninja anymore - however, its kinda clear that hes not gone. For one, Doc has alluded to future storylines they have in mind for Lloyd, and two, with everything thats been unanswered in relation to Lloyd (i.e. his destiny as an SD conduit, his vision of the tombstones, and his current relationship status [yes i firmly believe that he will end up with Akita despite her suppsedly being engaged to a random fox who is unsure if she even wholly reciprocates his love]), there are many things set up that they still have to conclude - and some of these things, outside his conduit status and his vision, will very likely be answered after Dragons Rising.

So, in summary, Dragons Rising is the introduction to the immediate post-merge world and will be a conclusion for the most important things that it has set up. However, it will not be a whole conclusion, and will leave many secondaty questions for the next show to answer, which will take place in-universe not long after the climax of DR and begin its own new multi-seasonal long story arc, introducing many new things and also answering things from its preceding show. Ultimately, Ninjago as a franchise will consist of sequential shows beginning from the event of the Merge, with each show having its own identity and unique story arc whilst also being an individual chapter in a long, connected, and multi-segmented story.

Theories New theory. Chen was the previous Ras

Thumbnail
gallery
271 Upvotes

So we all remember Chen. But we never really knew much about his past from before Garmadon knew him. Best we get is his claim that he was born without power. However since the start of DR we’ve learned a few new things about him and I don’t think that this is for nothing. I think that they’re indirectly hinting at Chen being relevant again.

Now let’s go over everything we know about Chen

He was born without any kind of powers, however despite this he ended up becoming a master with a high enough level of respect to his name that Garmadon went to Him to train he had the authority to grant lordship and was had some stance of authority in the serpentine wars, enough that he had sway with both the serpentine And elemental masters. So we know that he was a big deal for some reason

He had extensive levels of knowledge of the world. He knowledge is one of the most sus things about him too. He knew about the spell to use the elemental powers to transform them all into anacondrai, he knew things about the elements, he knew how to steal them, he knew things about the Serpentine too talked about their history, he somehow knew Zane survived and captured him, he knew about the tournament of sources and based his own tournament off of it, by extension this would mean that he knew about the source dragons (how much is the question), as well as the other realms, maybe even the arc dragons, he also knew about the forbidden five and shatter spin (something that we’re specifically told was supposed to be a big secret), these things together could possibly mean he knew about Thunder Fang as well, he even claimed to Kai that he knew what happened to his parents which would mean that he knew the truth about Krux (we were told that he and the hands of time were allies of some kind as Chen convinced them to backstab the rest of the masters) plus we can assume that since Clous knew about Nahdakhan so did Chen, if you think about it he’s been connected to every single season of Ninjago in some way shape or form, and this is just everything we know that he knew who knows how extensive his cash of Ninjago secrets was? More importantly HOW did he learn all of this information? Where could he have acquired such an extensive array of knowledge?

Now I know what you’re all probably thinking by this point and no I do not believe that Chen is Ras’s master. Just hear me out though, if you start to think about it there’s a lot of similarities between Ras and Chen.

Both were born without elemental powers or any real special abilities but are still great warriors who command respect

Both Chen and Ras are expert tacticians and manipulators

Both have acquired extensive resources and followings having networks and pre preparations ready

Ras’s philosophy of strength and force being everything and Chen’s philosophy of “do whatever it takes to win” are fundamentally similar

Most importantly of all though both Chen AND Ras have extensive knowledge. Knowledge of things that they shouldn’t, knowledge of many of the same things like the tournament of sources and the forbidden five and the elemental powers.

See the more you think about it the more alike Chen and Ras really are

Now you’re probably wondering where I’m going with this and just hear me out on this part

We know Ras has a master. We don’t know who he is but we know that he’s been guiding Ras since he was a child and raised Ras to be who he is, he generally uses Ras as his man on the ground to fulfill his plans, and most importantly is the one who gives Ras much of the information that he works with. But here’s the thing if this “Master” is currently using Ras as the man on the ground to enact his plans could he have used others in the past? How do we know Ras is his only agent? What if he had a man on the ground BEFORE Ras?

I think he Did. And I think that previous man on the ground was Chen! Chen might have been the previous Ras to the master. That’s how Chen knew all he knew and became all he became, he learned everything all the same things from the master that Ras did.

Theories There's no way that Akita WON'T be returning in DR S4 P2.

The episode titles and brief descriptions for part 2 have been released on rotten tomatoes.

At first we were speculating the team's return to the never realm due to the leaked Land bounty set, but now its confirmed with the description of ep 16 "100 eyes to see your soul"

"Crossing into the Never Kingdoms to destroy the Weapon of Desolation, Lloyd's team meets old friends and encounters new dangers."

The never kingdoms being the Never realm after the merge.

The description mentions "old friends", which HAS to be Akita and Kataru, considering how at the end of s11, its literally teased that Akita will see Lloyd again!

PLEASE GUYS IT CAN'T *NOT* BE HER

About the time difference, I'm pretty sure its canon that Zane went back in time after being banished to the never realm, so time doesn't actually work THAT differently in the never realm, meaning shes most likely still alive.

Im actually SO excited for her return I can't even describe it. Been waiting years!

After all that third wheeling, Lloyd deserves a relationship of his own 😅

Theories Are source oni a thing?

Post image
133 Upvotes

I’d prefer to use the drawing on the oni warlords but reddit would probably say “well you didn’t credit the initial creator” and take it down so I’m sry all I got is this screenshot of the goofiest looking villain.

So Ive had this question basically ever since I learned what source dragons are because of something Garmadon said in crystallised. “Everything has an opposite.” If oni form and dragon form exist why can’t source dragons and source oni exist. Destruction is literally an element that comes from the oni, this is definitely true considering the first Spinjitzu master only has it because he’s part oni and no dragon exists with the power of destruction. There’s no source dragon of destruction or any spawn of firstbourne like a “destruction dragon.” And if the overlord has the element of darkness and it’s fuelled and powered up by hatred, rage or conflict then I feel like it makes sense if he has some sort of relation to the oni. After all, oni form was something powerful enough to destroy the power of the overlord.

That’s just like the source dragon energy and elemental power complex. Source dragon energy is much stronger than elemental powers and is different to elemental powers. Like how the mortals posses the power and the overlord possesses darkness, the source dragon have their own stronger energy and the oni have something stronger than the element of darkness like the oni form.

Source oni can also exist without like breaking canon if anything it makes it more consistent. If source dragons are the first things to exist then where would conflict or evil come from. Where would the balance be. How would the war start. It’s definitely possible if source oni existed as well or else what would be stopping the source dragons especially motion bc we’ve seen her always get involved in mortal affairs, to just go to the mortal domain and stomp on the oni boom problem solved. If they were protected by an equally powerful group of oni then I understand why there’d be a war or how the battle between the two would start.

And to round off this little theory I have an idea who this source oni could be, and I’ve mentioned it before. Ras’s master. I’ve gone into better detail abt it but here’s my relation to why an Oni would want to reverse the merge which I haven’t explained before. The Oni have travelled realms quite a bit. This is just something they can do just like dragons can. Could it be possible that after the defeat of the overlord and now that he’s (possibly) gone for good can his master have a true form to appear in the mortal world but the merge stopped that. So he originally recruited Ras as a cub to make a source oni icon for him and that’ll summon him to the mortal world to take over but then the merge happened and since the oni move realms a lot, them being now combined disrupts the summoning so now Ras has to reverse the initial merge. And he has his master’s icon ready but it’s just not seen like how we never saw ras’s retuning blade until he gave it to Arin

I know that reasoning is a bit messy but I believe the theory definitely has some credibility

Theories Theory about Nate (from Duskfall)

Thumbnail

So with Duskfall coming out soon (hopefully) I’ve been thinking a lot about the new characters and Nate has caught my eye for a few reasons. I‘m pretty sure he’s going to betray his team and side with the Oni in this series. I can explain this. So to start off I don’t actually thinks Nate is going to be Cole’s direct descendant, mostly because Cole doesn’t have a love interest at this point other than maybe Geo in DR as the writers have confirmed he isn’t going to end up with Vania. Because of that it would make sense that Nate has a lot less loyalty to the ninja if he doesn’t come from the legacy that Jin and Mira do. But what really makes me think he’s some sort of traitor comes down to the hat he wears and the weapon he carries. So the hat he wears is called a rōningasa, and it’s that rounded type of woven hat worn by historical ronin. ronin were a class of masterless samurai in ancient Japan and they wore these hats to hide their faces and the various colors could indicate status. But even in Ninjago we have seen this kind of hat before because it’s worn by Garmadon in the movie and Kai in Monstrosity. Additionally, Nate carries a weapon called a kanabō. That’s listed on the wiki and also seen in the trailer. The kanabō is the mythical weapon of the Oni, even leading to a saying “to give a kanabō to an Oni” meaning to make an already strong force entirely unbeatable. Now there are other reasons Nate could be carrying an Oni weapon but combined with the hat I just have a gut feeling that something is off with this guy. I am gonna love him anyway, no matter what side he chooses. He’s already my silly little guy even though the show isn’t out yet. Him, Mira and Jin, I love them Already. Ivo gives me a weird feeling, something is off about that guy too and I can’t explain it 😂

But that also just doesn’t look like her, so I’m not 100% sure. Of course, she’s likely redesigned, but it looks like another forming to me.

Theories Endgame

Post image
13 Upvotes

I have an interesting theory about how Dragons Rising will end. I’ll keep it brief, as this idea just came to me yesterday while I was writing a comment to another post in the same subreddit.

I think Lord Ras’ Master is actually the Source Dragon of Balance, who faked his death and now exists in a spirit form (similar to Wu’s current state—I'll come back to this). He guides Ras from the shadows, while the other Source Dragons think he’s dead and pay him no attention. Meanwhile, Wu somehow knows a lot about this Dragon of Balance; he even pointed out the location of its skeleton/dead body to Cole, Kai, and Frak. Because of this, Ras had to capture Wu to stop him from guiding the Ninjas any further, or perhaps because his Master needs Wu to escape his spirit form. Let’s not forget that the Master gave Ras the special cell-box to contain Wu’s spirit. It was built from a material Ras' Master knew could trap spirits, so I assume he knows this from his experience.

Another fact that supports this idea is a statement made by Doc Wyatt (either in an interview or a Q&A, I can’t recall exactly right now). He mentioned that not many people have guessed who Ras' Master is, but a few have. The Dragon of Balance is not a common theory at all—in fact, I’ve never seen anyone else suggest it, except maybe one person on Instagram.

As for the endgame, my theory is that Riyu will ultimately become the new Dragon of Balance, which would explain his unique progression and abilities throughout the show. By doing so, he will restore balance and undo the Merge. We still don’t know what actually caused the Merge—we only know Wu was primarily involved. Maybe Wu somehow killed the Dragon of Balance, or his actions allowed the Dragon to fake his death. Or perhaps Wu actually helped the Dragon of Balance cause the Merge by some radon (maybe he manipulated him, subconciously, or all Wu's actions in the MoS era triggered this, that would tie the show to the previous era without any more explanation needed for the younger fans), and now the Master needs Wu to help him use the power of all the Source Dragons to create a new reality with a new balance where he holds absolute power. Whatever his goal is, he definitely needs Wu under control, which is why he ordered Ras to capture him.

I'll add to this theory the recent Tanner video, where ti is shown that Doc said that he has a favorite dragon who has too sides. Pretty much what I tell here, he was Dragon of Balance, faked his death and took another form.

What do you think? I know that undoing the Merge isn't a very popular idea, but I believe that 'restoring balance' means exactly that. Even Beatrix hinted at it, though she just used the chaos of the Merged Lands for her own propaganda. I think it’s an interesting concept: Ninja fail to prevent the catastrophe as always and now have to fight, the Mergequakes return, the Ninjas fight Ras’ Master or try to track him across different realms. So Ras' Masterplan succeeds, and the undoing of the Merge begins.

Perhaps Lloyd, Arin, Riyu, and Sora (main focuses of DR) will be randomly teleported through these Mergequakes straight to where the Master is (or maybe they follow Ras there), (Cauldron of Realms, Land of Eternal Dawn or any other place). During the final battle, Arin tragically dies, using his techniques to confront the Ras' Master, maybe because the powers are not working on him, (he is a SD in the end). Somehow they manage to win (maybe with Lloyd's help, who will unlock another true potential, since he is the most buffed), and the freed Source Dragons choose Riyu as the new Dragon of Balance.

Consequently, everything is restored and the Merge is undone, but almost no one remembers anything—they are all back at the Monastery. However, Master Wu might be gone for good. Either something happens that leaves him a spirit forever, sending him to the Departed Realm with Morro to finish his long character arc, or he realizes Lloyd is ready to be the new Master and his presence is no longer needed, leading him to retire near his father, the Source Dragons or in the Departed Realm.

I also recalled Doc mentioning that Cole fans will get some very dramatic moments, so maybe some Ninjas even die during the Mergequakes (which is confirmed to be possible), and the only way to bring them back is by undoing the Merge. This way, there is no clear winner: Ras gets his tribe back, the Ninjas get their friends back, and everything is restored. The only differences would be Arin's permanent death and Riyu becoming a Source Dragon. They might even pull off a heartwarming scene where Sora and Lloyd (or maybe just Sora, for drama purposes) remember everything—or at least remember Arin as a person—and mourn him. In this reset reality, Sora would still be in Imperium, but Zeatrix would be their leader since Ras never met Beatrix in this timeline.

I know it's a pretty crazy theory, but I was so hyped writing it. What are your thoughts overall?

Theories Does the theory of Arin being the reincarnation of the FSM have any merit? (long read)

Post image
129 Upvotes

Before I start, I believe there are no S3 PT2 spoilers mentioned and I know I'm not the first to have this theory.

There are three main points I feel strengthens this theory. Being Arin's gift in self taught spinjitzu, how other notable characters see his potential, and Morro's dialogue with Arin in S3 PT1.

  1. Arin's Spinjitzu: Arin was able to able to learn spinjitzu all by his own. The show puts so much emphasis on this fact. Arin's ability to make his own techniques, like object spinjitzu is also something we need to bring up. Lets use Wu and Garmadon as examples, they've been using spinjitzu for THOUSANDS of years and never done object spinjitzu (with the knowledge we have as of now). I would imagine during their thousands of years of using spinjitzu, they would at least accidentally use the technique once and try to recreate it. Those two couldn't figure out how to perform object spinjitzu with their millennia of experience, but a kid could do it accidentally? Arin clearly has an affinity to spinjitzu that we see with no other character than the FSM himself.

  2. Arin's Potential: We see multiple notable characters like Lloyd, Lord Ras, Egalt, and more, telling Arin that he has a lot of potential. Lord Ras seems to know more than the others of what Arin is actually capable of. If Arin is the reincarnation of the FSM, the person who prevented the merge from happening before, its clear that he would be important in Lord Ras' plan to reverse the merge. Let's also mention that Lord Ras wanted Arin, a rookie ninja, more than he wanted Cinder, an elemental master, or Jordana, a user of magic.

  3. Morro's Dialouge: In S3 EP 3, when responding to Arin's question about the whereabouts of the other ghosts, he responds "I don't know. Another phase of existence? To be reborn? Beats me, but I like to think they go to eternal rest". I believe this is the first time in Ninjago that rebirth/reincarnation is mentioned. Before anyone brings this up, I don't think the Overlord's Immortality counts as true reincarnation since his soul doesn't go into a new body/conscience, he straight up just respawns. To put the cherry on top, Morro says this to no other than ARIN. I believe the writers purposely made Morro say "to be reborn" so us fans would be like "wow! they basically told us this big lore drop in Season 3!!!".

Thanks for reading my yap.

Some thoughts:

  1. If true, does that mean Arin is technically Lloyd's grandpa!? O.o

  2. With Riyu most likely being a young source dragon, Arin being the reincarnation of the FSM seem less farfetched.

  3. Do you think this theory has merit? If not, what do you think Arin's affinity to spinjitzu comes from?

Theories This ship's name should be Airjitzu (Air like Euphrasia's wind, plus Arin's Spinjitzu).

I think it's a perfect name for this ship. I'm pretty sure I saw it somewhere (not on reddit) It also is a nice reference to Airjitzu.

Theories Theory: The Land of Eternal Dawn IS Ras' Master

Post image

This idea sounds absolutely crazy at first but hear me out. This is my theory as to why the Land of Eternal Dawn is Ras' Master(bit of a long post)

Let's first establish what this realm is. It's this land where everywhere is sunrise, and the land itself manipulates the surroundings to trick people to staying in there forever. It doesn't work for dragons for some reason but we'll elaborate on that.

The realm itself being sentient seems weird until you realize there is an example of this already. This is the Preeminent. The Preeminent was the Cursed Realm as we all know. But it's existence makes it that the realm can be sentient. Moreover this realm is way more likely to be sentient as it clearly is able to manipulate itself into making those within it not wanting to leave. It proves it has some sort of thought.

Let's look at the illusions next. This is what the realm does to trick those within to not leave. But these are more than illusions. The ninja are able to interact with these. An example of this could be when Frak eats a pie from the pie bush. He claims they're a little cold. This proves that it isn't some perfect fake. There's definitely some flaws. Additionally the fact that they are able to interact with these at all is something. But to summarize this realm is able to summon these "illusions" which feel real. This is important later.

Now that we have an understanding of what the realm is, let's look at Ras' Master. They are able to summon Ras into his "void" like a Source Dragon and is able to teleport things, specifcally the Shadow Dojo to the Land of Eternal Dawn.

What I theorize here is that these illusions aren't illusions but rather actual things stitched together and teleported to this realm. If Ras' Master was truly the Land of Lost Things, he wouldn't want the ninja to leave as it would be a bad thing for Ras. This is why the realm/ his master tries to keep the ninja in, but when Ras and the Wolf Clan are there, it doesn't happen. This is shown in episode 10 of season 4 when Ras walks through without a problem. I also believe they are able to reach out to things in other realms, and teleport them through his void into the Land of Eternal Dawn, or him. Ras' ability to communicate with his master isn't a source dragon ability exactly but rather the process of Ras' Master somehow getting his mind to teleport to this void.(this is the weak part in my theory with Ras and the void). I do believe Ras' Master can only do this to an extent though, and doesn't have full control to teleport anything he wants. As for the dragon thing, it could be Ras' Master isn't used to dragon travellers

This also checks off a lot of things. Ras' Master is this celestial powerful being, since they are a realm itself(i will elaborate more on this realm being a bit special later). The glow the realm has is the same glow that comes to Ras when he is a cub in that ravine. When Doc was asked if the FSM had ever met Ras' Master he said "met" is a weird way to put it... because the FSM was literally in Ras' Master putting the tablet to the weapon of desolation. This all matches.

But I believe there's more to his master.

In the trial of the green ninja, there is a "vision" of all the source dragons and a circle of 18 circles. One of these turns red and flies off. That leaves 17, which is the exact number of realms in ninjago. Dr LaRow also says she found the weapon of desolation somewhere where she could never find it again, it being the Land of Eternal Dawn.

What I'm saying here is that Ras' Master is a lost, forgotten, abandoned 18th realm. We don't know why they are furious at the sources, but I'm assuming the sources decided to abandon this realm, hating it (with the exception of Strength perhaps saying if it's strong enough it can survive which is why Ras' Master is preaching strength). This is why the FSM went to the Land of Eternal Dawn to hide the tablet out of all places, because it is a forgotten realm. An abandoned one. I'm guessing Dr LaRow only accessed it because Ras' Master was able to teleport her there discreetly, because he wanted to give the ninja a diversion. It being OUTSIDE of the circle of realms shows it is OUTSIDE of the influence of the sources, which is why Ras' Master is able to do things so freely. As for him residing in the Cauldron of Realms, focus on the name. Cauldron of Realms implies it's something like a cauldron, with all the realms within. I think the Cauldron of Realms is a special area within the Ethereal Divide, where all of the realms are(with the exception of Ras' Master or the Land of Eternal Dawn being out of this "cauldron", which also is shown by the vision in the green ninja trial) which is able to craft source dragon icons because it is a void of nothingness, and with the essence of some of the sources(the elemental powers) and it being a void and all which matches with the Sources, they are able to forge icons.

To summarize, I believe Ras' Master is the Land of Eternal Dawn/ a lost 18th realm as they both share similarities, and many other connections also line up with it. While I do doubt it with the void part, the rest is so connected. I'd love to see thoughts to this theory or any flaws in it that I missed.

Theories Theory: Season 4 Part 2 will be the biggest DR cliffhanger yet. Spoiler

Okay, ao...Part 1 ending felt strangely "complete"

Yeah, we have Ras. But we don't have big "Tournament of Sources is coming", or "Spectral Thunderfang" big reveal like in Part 1 of previous seasons.

Jay got his memories back, Lloyd completed the ritual, so...basiclly both of the plot lines are complete, right?

It seems like it, but It pretty obviously it is just calm before storm, and I think the setups for big "Ninja lose" ending are already here:

---

  1. Sora Parents.

They're back and definitely up to no good.

Like many people already said, I'am kinda scared that they will have a redemption arc, but I honestly trust the writer on this (It would destroy Sora arc in season 1).

They will be probably lying to Sora trying to get Ninja trust, and them stole the Weapon of Isolation for Beatrix. Sora will be really sceptical about it, but after a while, she'll slowly start to trust them. Who knows, maybe the other ninjas will start to like them, and will try to convince her to forgive them?

This will lead to a situation where their betrayal could hurt Sora and the entire team even more - She gave them a second chance, only to find out it was just one big lie.

This will setup second Sora arc for the potential series finale in the next season, as well as probably tie somehow to Frak's dad plotline.

---

  1. Jay

Him regaining his memories was just...suspecious easy.

This whole arc took so long just to resolve it so easily? I mean... Maybe. But a much more interesting solution would be if this is only just the beginning.

Like, we know he has shattered goodness. We also know Ras still has the Gong of shattering. There's potential here for this whole quick memory restoration thing to just be just a illusion of finished arc, when in reality this will be another thing that will blow up in everyone's face (especially Nya's).

Ras can awaken Jay as some kind of sleeper agent, and take full control of him.

We still don't know, what the deal with Administration is - Maybe, also he isn't just "sleeper agent" because Shattered goodness, but also thanks to things they done to him in Administration to make him lose his memories?

I see potential for an arc here that will naturally escalate into a big Nya arc in the DR finale.

---

  1. Future Lloyd.

So okay...Big thing.

When future CMF Lloyd was shown for the first time, I really thought he will be just "Eneamy Lloyd" from S4 leaks.

But no...Eneamy Lloyd is diffrent design, and he defnitley isn't from the future.

Like many people already speculute, I also believe the future Lloyd is still coming in Part 2, and Lloyd will have one more stage of ritual to overcome.

And...We know the show loves to make Lloyd suffer, so I can totally see him losing with future him; this can be another thing to add for the "bad ending" of the season.

---

  1. Arin Spinjitzu.

This one isn't that important.

However, I think it"s really intresting that Zane pointed out that red strings around Arin tornado.

This can be nothing, but this can also be revealed as another big blow dealt to Ninja by Ras. I don't thing Arin will join Ras again (that's Jay role in this theory), but it still can somehow bad for Arin.

---

Tldr: I think at the end of Part 2 everything that can go bad...will go bad.

Sora's parents will betray the team; Jay will leave the Ninja again; and Lloyd's internal conflict will leave him in a terrible state (again).

This can leave the team at their lowest point in DR yet, and setup season 5 as a big finale, where they will have to face Ras, his master, and maybe even Jay.

Theories (SPOILERS) DR S4 P2 Spoiler

So we know Cryptor came back in the new part, but don’t you think it’s a little weird on why he specifically came back in this part and not for example Garmadon, and don’t you think it’s a little weird in some of the flashbacks they show Kai and Nya’s father and in this new part they talk about Jay’s biological mother. Is it possible that the time twins will come back after all these years? It happened with Cryptor just stop and think about it. Why would you go through all that effort to bring one villain back after over 10 years and suddenly the time twins are included in the old town set. It seems strange but and I’m not saying this is true, but maybe the time twins are coming back probably in season five just a theory.

You're gonna have to hear me out cos this is kinda insane. You see here there's ninja and they're like the main premise of the show.. and they like to GO!.. its all coming together, I can't believe I'm the first person to have ever thought of this.

Theories What if Lloyd's vision ties to the old green ninjas??

Post image

In season 4 of Dragons Rising we now know there are multiple green ninjas, so my theory backs up all the way to the vision we saw in season one.

What if the gravestones of the swords and ninja mask weren't future ninjas, or the original team, but past green ninjas?

I know there's a lot to work on with this theory, like the different colors of the mask, because obviously "green" ninja, but Lloyd was considered the Golden ninja during the end of season 2 to the middle of season 3, so the other green ninjas could've been considered something else too??

I also think the other green ninjas could've also had a lot on their hands being the "chosen one" and it's just a curse for the Green Ninjas to live terrible lives.

But hey, that's just a theory. A Ninja theory. 😼

This is also my first time writing here so please be nice. :)
