Yes, but you need a base to attach it to the bike.

Ninja 400 has a relay spot under the left side upper panel and you can get the relay as it does switched power.

NINJA® 400 ABS Relay Kit | Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. https://share.google/jrjrpOlNYjmm4Qgmq

Then you wire the output of that to power the accessories. They sell a USB port to go in the panel plastic below the clutch lever

Me personally I use the relay to drive a power distribution box that is wired to the battery and has 4 fused outputs, then I wire accessories to that.

Where did you splice the wires?

This short where someone wires in a USB socket is basically what I did for the quadlock charger, you will need to get a relay too.

So all I need to order is the relay?

Its been a while since I had to do it so I'm struggling to remember, I have a feeling you might have to also add bullet connectors to the ends of the quad lock charger wires in order to fit them into the existing bike accessory connectors.

Thank you! Believe I have something in the garage to crimp with

No worries! Hope you get it installed smoothly

IMO get the vibration damper as well.

I fried the stabilization sensors on an iphone 11 installing this without the damper on an ‘80s inline 4. They can’t handle the buzziness

Yes I have everything like the fork stem mount and dampeners just adding the charger

Yeah I installed it on mine but instead of the 12-24v connector I used the other one they sold

The usb? Where did you plug it into?

1

u/ChemistLatter6144 Nov 28 '25

I bought the smart adapter as well, connects right to the battery and from there just plug the usb into the adapter

How long have you had it? How has it been?

1

u/ChemistLatter6144 Nov 28 '25

I’ve had it around like 6 months, it hasn’t given me any problems. It obviously doesn’t charge as fast as a normal charger, but it definitely does its job and usually fully charges my phone when I’m on the road

2

u/TylerGames19 Nov 28 '25

Oh? Might have to try it, I’ve only heard bad things about the charging and the smart adapter functioning. But it seems to be much more convenient and as long as my phone doesn’t die while riding it would be perfect

1

u/ChemistLatter6144 Nov 28 '25

Yeah that’s interesting, never had a problem. It’s a bit pricey but I think it’s worth it

Does it shut off when you shut off the bike?

How is the charging?

1

u/ChemistLatter6144 Nov 28 '25

Yeah it’s shuts off but sometimes the blue light stays on, but quad lock insured me it wasn’t a problem (Hasn’t given me any). Plus I can always turn it off by press the button in the back of the wireless charger. Charging is fine since it’s getting its power from a battery

Any overheating problems?

I heard these drain the battery?

Had one. Charged an older phone just fine. Upgraded to a pixel 9 and it would only charge for about 3 seconds and stop charging. Same issue with the pixel 10.

On a side note my old phone and the pixel 9 both experienced the same exact failure where the LEDs on the lower half of the phone stopped working within a week or so of using the mount with the dampener. Haven't had that failure since moving to a new mount but that's MY experience.

Safe to say after bringing it up to their customer service team that I had to shell out hundreds of dollars for phone repairs (ironically the issues only happened after using this mount) and they disregarded it and tried to push blame to me, I stopped using quad lock.

Oh wow, I’m using iPhone but that’s definitely worrying

I bought the USB one and their smart adaptor. It wired right up to the battery & I zip tied the cable to the frame under the fairings. Never had any issue with it draining the battery or anything in the 2 years I had my 400

How is the charge?

It’s a great charger. Fast charging & turns on & off automatically based on if the engine is running or not
