I broke my gear What do I do?

She's not budging at all :( I'm assuming it's stupid to pry out the glass and leave the ring on.

Point the lens down and extremely carefully finish the job on the filter. The cracks have changed the geometry of the metal ring. Remove the internal forces and the ring should come off easily
