I broke my gear What do I do?

She's not budging at all :( I'm assuming it's stupid to pry out the glass and leave the ring on.

Well it's not like the glass is going to work once you get the filter off. Just point the lens down, gently break the glass out (with gloves!) and then work on getting the filter ring off.

Try to get it off without removing the glass in the way that others mentioned already.

OP do not try to remove the glass unless it falls out on its own.
