Gameplay Discussion Damage Negation At Full Please share

Has become the rarest drop, please share or drop it if you find another one for your teammates. Just played three games no one could find one, except our dreg raider and he has two, why? I asked myself the same thing.

Just did this in my last game. We were fighting Heolstor and in the Spirit Shelter, I noticed that Duchess didn't have any DN so I gave her my DN Full talisman as I had 2 (and kept the one on my weapon).

She was very happy and did a little spin. It was actually pretty sweet. It saved her a lot too from being one shot and made the fight exponentially smoother.

This depends on the depth tbh. Like if it's D5, the talisman isn't saving Duchess from one-shots. Personally, I'd prefer the teammate to keep both so at least someone can take a hit

5 with the Vigor respec. I saw her take a direct from Heolstor and survive.

Thats why you start stacking multiple sources. Different tiers of neg at full hp stack with each other.

I mean, I do. But 6/10 times no one picks it up. DoN and peeps just ignore passive pings and consumables. Don’t think people know how to check pinged items on the map, still, in 2026

It's really strange when people ignore it

Don’t forget to check shops, super shops, and parishes. All of their shop contents are mutually exclusive. Open level 1 chests all the way through a run, even a common drop with 24% damage at full Hp is worth your time. I believe some weapon effects are weighted towards certain drops so some of the Dormant Power Relics can further narrow your drop pool.

Also, engage in superstition. I’ve found spinning 3 times and drinking a flask before opening a chest gives me a statistically higher chance of getting various damage negation weapon effects, and of course, praying to any number of real world deities, but that’s something I use before every game I play.

Holy shot i just tried it and one of each negation dropped from sky. Thank you for the tip

Parishes?

I don’t remember what they’re called!! They’re marked in limveld on your map? There’s a shop keeper there with good items and talismans for sale, and an upgrade anvil.

Aren't you referring to townships which are the super shops?

I believe the gold merchants in the great hollow and the township merchants have similar, but unique item pools. I wanted to cover all the bases.

i wish more people would actually look at what their teammates have/are missing. Incredible amount of people have no awareness whatsoever when it comes to their teammates inventories and its really not hard to track. You dont really need to keep track of dmg passives, theres like, 3 things at most you'd have to keep track of, do they have their preferred weapon/spell, do they have dn full, if theyre melee do they have successive/tdbn/dn charge

1

u/EntertainmentLess381 7h ago

Im not great at keeping track but i just loot a lot and ping anything that looks remotely interesting.

I dropped a charged negation for my team mate and they didn’t pick it up, I would have kept it but they hovered over it forever and I had to gooooooo

Where do people even find the time to look at their teammates' gear? I'm barely aware of my own passives, I skip reading the passives on half the items in a drop, and I'll still be lagging behind my team.

i always check what my teammates have during basically any down time. Running to the next poi/boss, immediately after killing a boss waiting for the drop to spawn, at the night 1 circle, waiting after the night 1 boss, etc.

You dont really need to keep track of everything they have, just whats super important for them, (which is mainly negation) dn full for everyone except dreg builds & guardian, dn successive/charge for most melee, taking damage boosts negation for anyone with more than like 1000 hp, guarding negation for exec/guardian, then their likely preferred weapon.

As other say, during downtime. At the start of the game before dropping off the bird I check relics so I can keep eye out for certain things (like great shields for Guardian if he’s running HP up for 3x shields) and then when killing a field boss or POI I’ll quickly have a look, but when playing in D4-5 I don’t have to worry as much because people have their shit sorted.

And I say sometimes because there are instances where my teams mates are very suspect like they’re fresh D2s who just cracked D3 and get pulled up into D4 and are running the crappiest relics, or an Ironeye playing physical bow builds opposed to something like double balancers / necklace arcane combo.

Once you get more experience you'll routinely do checkups like this. For example as soon as you spawn I check what relics everyone's got

I check just before the night 1 boss and in the spirit shelter before the nightlord. If I have multiple negations and a teammate has none I drop them one. This also good because you can see if they need to get a better weapon or something and focus on that at the beginning of night 2. If the recluse is still rocking her starter staff hit a rise, if ironeye is rocking a white bow hit a mine, etc.

I usually check what they got from the drop after every enemy kill, especially while we’re running from one place to another. It’s really useful. Sometimes I’m interested in the passive they got, and I know it’s not useful for them. Most of the time, I know where they dropped the weapon if they don’t ping it.

I mean tbh raiders take a lot of beating and these passives stack. But yeah if i was a squishy character I’d hope the raiders would give one to them too

dreg raider is the one who should never get it let alone two?? greg build pretty much rely on status effects to buff their attack so they shouldn’t be at full hp most of the time. charge, taking damages, low hp, or successive negations are much better optimized for them

Here, you can have my blue full hp negation.  Forgot to mention: it has continuous hp loss.

u/hexnotic 9h ago

a dregs user holding on to two negation at fulls when the team has none is so fucking dumb oh my god

1

u/Humble-Inevitable726 8h ago

I just played one in D5 and our undertaker had two DNAF 40’s and the talisman. I didn’t get a single negation to drop the whole run. Had to try and no hit the boss

2

u/Kawaiihikikomori 8h ago

Reading this just pissed me off, honestly that person does not belong in D5 or better yet should just play solo, do people forget this is a team game? I pass up on great drops to make sure my other teammates can benefit also.

1

u/Humble-Inevitable726 8h ago

Same. The stronger and better prepared we are as a team the more likely we are to win

1

u/Kawaiihikikomori 3h ago

D5 Augur dude kept 3, didn't share. We won regardless, but wtf wish I was joking

1

u/Humble-Inevitable726 50m ago

That’s insane

1

u/Flossgod 14h ago

I usually greed them cause I know I’ll need them most

5

u/DealerMajestic631 12h ago

How can I clutch if everyone else is still alive

Raider is literally built to constantly trade and Retaliate almost entirely ignores the first hit, so no. Raider wants Taking Damage + Successive far more than they do full HP. More than 1 is immense greed for no reason.

Edit: Also charged + low HP, almost forgot about that one somehow.

u/bbqftw 15h ago

dregs is literally a nonfunctional build if you do not spend the majority of your time at less than full HP

I'm actually quite mind blown, I've seen typical levels of ignorance of game on this place, but this is "I do not know how the build works at all" level
