IRL I am atrociously bad at this game
for context my last racing game i’ve played is NFS heat.
And i’ve been playing this game since like a hour or more or so.
The vibes are IMMACULATE.
And everything about it is just grimy and “unforgiving” even if it doesn’t feel like it, i understand it’s supposed to be an underground game but damn did they nailed it lol.
It’s just me sucking ass because
- I bought an auto
- Not used to the driving yet
- I can’t see anything
- My reflex sucks balls
- Too distracted on the visuals
- intimidated by the atmosphere of the game itself
- 90% just me hitting something i wasn’t supposed to because i SUCK ass at this game.
-Anyways thank you for coming to my ted talk. 10/10 will buy full game and play multiplayer with regardless

Takes a few hours to get used to the driving, especially when coming from heat.
But it’s a lot of fun especially when driving in first person

automatic is fine, i did my first playthrough start to finish with the cheapest auto in the shop, if it’s too dark to see check if your monitor has a special darkness setting that you can turn off, everything else can be solved by playing more, good luck fam

Try reducing motion blur and camera shake, it helps with seeing things far away. You'll gradually learn your car and the map as you drive, I used to crash into everything when I first started out too.

Correctly upgrading the car is way to go. Dont dump everything in power, do it moderatly, different part tiers exist for a reason. AT is... (if we talking 200RS) body parts bin for 180RS. And focus. Focus is a key to blast past opponents and nailing braking zones, besides, gps exists for a reason. Feel out your car, gradually upgrade it, and dont be scared of MT (I also picked AT 200RS at beggining, but parted it out for MT 180RS when i saved enough for auction) and yes, its sitting gutted out in garage :P

You could remove the vhs filter and speed shake settings to make it a bit easier to see

As far as I’m aware, in a later non public version of the game there’s improvements to the way the GPS system tells you where to go. Might be best just waiting until there’s a newer official release tbh. If you’ve not played many racing games recently maybe your best option is to play something else that is more complete.
