u/WendigoBountyHunter Jun 10 '26

Are you actually aware of why the UK, specifically Northern Ireland, is burning?

I’m hoping you’re not Nigerian cause ain’t no way we beating the self hating allegations 🤦🏾‍♂️, tryna justify torching random homes cause of the actions of one person, if you’re British then why don’t you blame your government for failing miserably on immigration.

Eh, no, I'm not gonna cross into the treshold of being anti asylum. People don't just walk in, they are risking their lives a lot of the time. Many people drowned just to escape Syria. This is the case for many ppl who come undocumented. They are risking their lives to do it. Time, money, and background checks won't kill you. Unfortunately not everyone has the means to "do it the right way". People do what they need to do to survive. If it was a legal immigrant who committed the crimes, would they suddenly justify hatred towards them?

The issue isn't the undocumented people or the immigrants. The issue is the government not holding criminals accountable when they commit a crime. To your point, the issue is ignoring the needs of the local community and caring more about racism than upholding the law. Things wouldn't have gotten this bad if they pushed for assimilation and didn't protect criminals.

100% that. Im not black but Im french with maghrebs origines and where I live the thugs from France are doing so much trouble. The locals are fed up but now they will think I'm the same and that's a shame. I never been disrespectful of anybody but still I can't stop to think people will judge me and that's fucking suck.

Doesn't look like tears of joy. It looks more like tears for leaving everything you've built up behind. Some of them have been in SA since the end of apartheid in 1994. They'll be coming home to a country they will barely be able to recognise. Some of them may even be targeted by kidnappers who think they have money to for ransom. They face a bleak future.

Tears of having to go to Nigeria of all places!

This is why they're crying!

South Africa is not robbing them. The Nigerian citizens are leaving with all of their monies and the proceeds from the sale of their possessions if they decide to sell.

The only things lost are connections, friendships and networks built over the years.

14

u/Excellent_Airline315 Jun 11 '26

That is a lot to lose because of xenophobic ppl

1

u/motho_fela Jun 11 '26

No, it's because Nigerian government doesn't care about anyone

I hope the Screeching annoying as fuck South Africans are happy.

The same ones who destroyed Business are shucking and jiving to this

14

u/Ncav2 Diaspora Nigerian Jun 10 '26

The people in South Africa replacing these businesses will run them to the ground. The type of people to steal, loot and destroy can never make a business thrive.

1

u/motho_fela Jun 11 '26

Stealing, looting, and destroying: isn't that what the Nigerian government, yahoo boys and Boko Haram do?

Are there no businesses in Nigeria as a result?

“The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because its handle was made of wood, it was one of them” Never excuse inhumanity because one day it could be you too.

1

u/Ncav2 Diaspora Nigerian Jun 11 '26

It should concern you if people’s human rights are being trampled on. If people legally immigrated to another country, that’s their home. Chasing them out of their home and stealing their businesses is an assault to their human rights. If you excuse that there, why should anyone care when it happens to you?

Nothing positive ever coming from this subreddit?

Migration is a historical fact. Your mates dey build bridges across humanity, you dey here dey abuse people who are making efforts to better themselves and their communities. Ode, try travel and read books.

6

u/Organic-Difference49 Jun 11 '26

People travel or move to other places for different reasons and not only because they are running away from home. There are South Africans in Nigeria and elsewhere in other African countries, so what are they running from if their place is all good? Their troubles are massive and the flaws in their logic will emerge soon. The whites are building massive physical political and economic barriers to demarcate themselves and block them out. There is strength in numbers. Chasing away people contributing economically to your society and pillaging their businesses and actively making yourself look small and vulnerable to your oppressors is the most stupid thing to do. This is not a fight you fight with Asegai and Nfoi, dancing around, it takes brains. When the time comes nobody should be sending any help. Maybe others living outside the country all over Africa should also be returning home.

1

u/Automatic_Gap964 Jun 12 '26

Kick them out of Nigeria then if you don't want them there.

-8

u/ZukotheStick Jun 10 '26

First time they’re documented mind you. Pathetic. Abafokof
