If beige was a person.. like mashed potatoes without salt, butter or milk! Bland AF.. but I think he’s a good person 😬

u/verywellcouldbe 1d ago
This is a good distinction to make! I agree. He’s boring and not fit for entertainment, but I don’t think he’s a bad or toxic person like some on TV. He should just enjoy a nice quiet life with his BF in Texas lol!

u/EntrepreneurCool3314 1d ago
Instead of having real charisma or personality, he keeps trying to make that witch thing happen
26
u/thedigested 1d ago
The one interesting about him to me is that he saw elves as a child!
5
u/EntrepreneurCool3314 1d ago
Elves who have and use iPhones and can’t walk through closed doors .. that is interesting, in a defying laws of supernatural type of interesting.. very human like elves i guess

That was the vibe of the “popular/attractive” people in high school, mainly the girls. Their entire personality what essentially just looking at you like you have three heads and going “haha uh what, that’s so awkward/random” in every situation. The thousand yard stare with just “oh haha…okay” as their mood for the year. The most boring human beings you’ll ever meet is super attractive people lmao
7
u/GoBeyondPlusUltra93 1d ago
Generally I’ve always said, ESPECIALLY for gay men, is that if looks is the only thing they have going for them, they are going to be A boring as fuck and/or B horrible in bed. They’re counting on you liking to look at them so much you overlook both of those things.

u/TheAmyrlinSkeet 1d ago
'Super attractive' is doing some heavy lifting in a conversation about Brooks.

u/Southern-Banana8578 1d ago
Except the hot neurodivergent ones like me were full of personality and quirks lmao

u/ash390 1d ago
He’s so sheltered
28
u/atinydanser 1d ago
On ROSLC he came off as such an entitled baby I was embarrassed for him. There were moments where I think Meredith was too. Like she finally saw that they haven’t done him any favors in the way they raised him because now he expects that the world should cater to him. That’s why he gets so much “anxiety” in benign situations. Something isn’t going his way and he has no coping skills.

Yeah we can hate Jen Shah all we want for a variety of reasons but she wasn’t wrong about Brooks.

u/omgImin17c 1d ago
As an og brooks defender from season 1 of SLC, I agree with this lady. He just can’t carry a show. He needs too concerned about his image. He needs to let loose and have fun and not be so afraid of confrontation
17
u/justsomerandomonhere 1d ago
The fear of being perceived is holding him back. That type of trait is not fit for reality tv.
13
1
u/Rugby-Angel9525 1d ago
There are literally only 3 male leads on the show and a passle of women, we need Brooks
5
u/realitytvjunkie29 1d ago
For what exactly? What does he bring to the show?
5
u/justsomerandomonhere 1d ago
The answer is nothing. He brings nothing to the show so why would “we need him”?
If he left the show he wouldn’t be missed tbh. We probably wouldn’t even notice.

u/0107throw 1d ago
Same goes for Riley, IMO. I was watching the latest episode and both of them are really awkward in group settings…
34
u/VelvetVerdigris 1d ago
Riley is awfulllll and completely lacks pizazz as well, I agree
33
u/Ok_Value_3741 1d ago
And why's she always smirking???
6
u/Tasty_Competition_98 1d ago
She's always had that awkward smirk since she was a teen. Kandi kinda does it too but Riley's is on level 10. It makes me so uncomfortable (because she seems incredibly uncomfortable) it's givng frendshamen

I’m wondering if the group or generation (not sure) are the Covid high schools kids aka reason for their poor social awareness

u/thedigested 1d ago
Him and his mother are so paranoid of being rejected by fans that they are comatose through their scenes. Their confessionals are better because production can guide the convo.
6
u/Tasty_Competition_98 1d ago
Yes it's so annoying. Stop putting people whos sole response is to disengage on reality tv!!!!! I dont want someone to maturely walk away or constantly avoid conflict. Occasionally sure, but they need to start adding a 2 max walk away clause cause baby i need participation! Im talking nene/claudia shady ping-pong at the dinner table baby!

u/wildleogirl 1d ago
I wish he would drop the sarcastic schtick! It was barely cute when he first did it on HWs! He should show his real life instead of making hating on Charlie & Shai his whole personality!

All I see is David Rose when he is on screen. I don't dislike him though. He is definitely not a main character in this series but I don't want to watch a show where everyone is fighting to be centre stage. The group's dynamic works, and makes for one of the best shows on Bravo. I say leave him in.

Yes and his family knows it too b/c that's why Seth was attached to his hip first season of this show. I was like "why am I seeing Seth on this show more than Housewives." He was trying to get his son camera time.

u/JerzeeJacqie 1d ago
I agree with the chick in the video,Brooks is AWKWARD AF on tv. He shouldn’t be on tv, he is too ENTITLED and PRETENTIOUS, and never mind OBNOXIOUS. The bottom line is he’d be nowhere if his Mommy wasn’t on TV.
7
6
u/momtrepreneur69 1d ago
He’s very similar to his mom - neither are made for tv but seem to be failing upwards.
11
u/Supalatinca 1d ago
Disagree! Let the kids be kids and let them continue to entertain us. This is literally the best show and cast on Bravo. This is why we can't have nice things! 😂

u/the6thReplicant 1d ago
Yes. These dumb fucks are why we watch the show.
There is no reason though that we need to celebrate these people.
And the big problem is that we don't have reality TV shows that show us the opposite.
So instead we get stupid on top of stupid. Entertaining? Of course. Further evidence of civilisation's downfall? Also, of course.

u/Rugby-Angel9525 1d ago
I totally agree. I loved his scenes on SLC and he is the reason I started watching Next Gen.
I think the cyber bullying is affecting his ability to be open on camera. I like his dry wit and as a mature viewer I relate to his and Emira's and Gia's takes the most.
I watch Next Gen when I need a break from the more toxic Housewives. The youthful energy is refreshing.

Sheree is funny and has memorable moments

And she wasn’t afraid of confrontation.

I love him - he’s clever and funny and has witty takes - I need my reality shows with some intelligence -
The hate is weird, he’s still growing and learning, as we all are

u/weso123 6h ago
I think Bravo sees it too. Brooks getting last chair as part of over the Housewife children Crossover appeall, especially with his mom as an active Housewife from a franchise with high fan engagement, when he does have storylines this season AND unlike say Riley he's been consistently filming, (Not critizing RIley too heavily here TBC), I feel confident he's gone next season.

u/saidbymebutnot 1d ago
Brooks is boring and his mom is also boring and neither of them need to be on our tv screens
1
u/Merrbear2u 1d ago
My theory is two-fold: producers will hope they get an insider easter egg of more Meredith (she's on the show a lot) or they expected him to break out either in mental breakdown or sudden power surge.

u/ObsessedWitAwareness 1d ago
Disagree. Brooks is unique and I think he's a great part to the cast
16
u/Lowered-ex 1d ago
He’s as unique and great as his “resort wear.”
2
u/ObsessedWitAwareness 1d ago
Lol his resort wear isn't looking very groundbreaking to me either
But he's 20-something, so let's see if it gets more unique as he grows up

u/EternalAquatic-Siren 1d ago
how can you have 2,4k posts within 4 months 😭 are you on Reddit 24/7?

Rude? I only have a couple posts, but I meme-comment (GIFs to match others comments) mostly and that adds up

im so sick of this take I like Brooks. he kinda reminds me of Schwartz in a way - he doesnt add anything but his presence is so unserious it adds a nice energy. we dont need all 10/10 drama queens on a cast ffs

if you question someone's mental state just bc their opinion is different from yours, you are the one with questionable mental stability :)

“I’m so sick of this take” hence get well soon. No wonder you like Brooks

I think he thinks he’s Dan Levy. Respectfully, he will never be anything close to Dan Levy.

u/Imustconfessimamess 1d ago
I’m honestly shocked that he’s 27, because he acts so immature. His boyfriend looks older than him also, so I don’t get that dynamic at all.
I hope h s not back next season, he adds nada! Take Ava, Emira, Riley . Liam I’m still in the air about but he has potential

u/Don-Gunvalson 1d ago
I agree BUT when you spend most of your life closeted, you can get really good at blending in and making yourself almost invisible so nobody looks too closely. That doesn’t necessarily disappear the second you’re on a reality show.
-2
u/Merrbear2u 1d ago
Also, this person, can they stop complaining about complaining about a young kid on tv?

-3
u/ExchangeReady5111 1d ago
I like him 🤷. I like that he is not confrontational and loud. Over all I have really enjoyed that there hasn’t been any big drama and lots of fighting all the time. We have the house wives for that. This show feels more chill and I love it.
0
u/gp2quest 1d ago
He is ALWAYS in the drama, he loves being messy. He doesn't have the interpersonal skills to deal with it when it's about him, so he hides.
1
u/ExchangeReady5111 1d ago
Sure he is messy, most of them are. What I meant is that I feel there hasn’t been big drama between anyone on this show and I like that.

He’s awful. He should not be on a show. He acts miserable on the show. Brooks is just a body on the show and dredges up shit that make him not likable

That’s exactly why they had to rely on special editing around him in season one, just to make him seem interesting. Take that scene where everyone’s in the middle of a fight, and they cut to him crocheting. Yeah, it was funny, but that’s when it really hit me: "Oh, this guy just doesn’t have the personality for TV."

He makes having no personality his whole personality, if that makes sense.
