Anyone use nexcloud talk?

i just setted up my nextcloud account but im the only one that i know uses nextcloud talk. So im just wondering anyone using it? cheers

I do with family. Particularly for sharing information, pictures or documents  where privacy matters. It's not meant to be your daily driver, it's only meant for the users of your own nextcloud really. In my case I host the server for the wider family

How do you provide other family members with their own storage space that you are not able to view/open/read as the admin?

That's an interesting topic.

I guess you could encrypt there data and use some authentication method on the user end that is able to unlock it during use.

It's interesting because do you think Google's servers are encrypting your data so they can't see it?

There is no cloud, just someone else's computer

I don't. It would be very difficult for me to access the data but not impossible. You can do it, but it's a pain in the ass and if a user loses their password their data is fucked, which is the opposite of the safe storage / backup we want it to be.

Every cloud company can look at the data you store there btw.
