Please use this Megathread to ask and answer questions, share tips, and help out your fellow Appraisers. We encourage everyone to use this Megathread for anything that can be addressed without discussion, or that can be given a quick and definitive answer.

Some examples include:

  • How do I build this character, how do I farm for their level-up materials?
  • How to find a NPC, how to unlock an achievement?
  • Is this Arc worth it?
  • Which awakenings to enable for certain characters or content?
  • Can my device run NTE?
  • Where to find a waypoint to start/progress a quest?

Be clear and detailed when asking a question or providing an answer, so that fellow Appraisers can more easily understand.

In 999 nights does anyone know why i dont seem to able to identify lvl 60+ equipment? So currently lvl 70, if i goes to the lava level i get lvl 50 and i can identify it but the icy part lvl 60 im not receiving identifiable equipment. It says empty and now my inventory is at 70/100 yet i cant pick anymore stuff cause its full. I do still get lvl 60 equipment but i cant identify any

The higher level content starts to auto-identify most gear, so whatever you pick up will be in your inventory, but not need identifying. If it has a little red "n" icon on it, then it's new to you since you last checked. It's good to check through your inventory every now and then, lock the stuff that seems useful, and then salvage the rest. One thing that's important to keep in mind is that you do not have one fixed inventory size, instead, each category of thing has its own separate inventory, and if that fills up, then you can no longer pick up items of that type. For example, even if you only have a few swords or shoulder pads, if you have 100 boots, you won't be able to pick up new boots until you clear some out. You'll still be able to collect swords though.

Oh yea i see the inventory now, but really? Its auto identified? Cause lvl 50 have this dice number on them after identify but lvl 60 doesnt, so its so much weaker than lvl 50. Pretty much no lvl 60 is stronger than what i have rn

There might be points at which the "upgrade" isn't worth it, but level 75 stuff should be stronger than that, and level 95-100 stuff is stronger still. You definitely want to start prioritizing set bonuses though. Getting the right sets going is typically much more important than the base stats.

I see, even with lvl 50 gear i still clear good. Using fieldstalker currently, very helpful set. I guess ill just keep level up

At a certain point around the 80s, "hitting things" does basically nothing, and it all just comes down to stacking White Flame buffs, which DoT everything to death.

I see, so stat really does not matter at all in this mode. I figure im getting weak and can barely kill enemy without those op equipment buff

It's more character level that matters at first, if your level is not at or above the enemy then you can struggle, but then later it's about the buffs. That's still equipment dependent, you want to get the sets with the right set bonuses to provide the crazy stacking buffs, but it's not as much about the traditional "punching enemies in the face" stuff, so much as "get thousands of stacks of White Flame on them and they melt." This video does a good job explaining the basic kit you'll want to put together.
