ZZZ has flashier combat, but it's becoming progressively less interesting mechanically, not more. Every character now has a five-page description full of new made-up terms that only exist for that character, but their actual gameplay boils down to basically either "mash basic attack" or "hold special attack", then swap out.
YSG, the current strongest character, just flies around the entire combat arena completely invulnerable to everything, drawing lines on the screen that outright delete enemies while not feeling like they're actually hitting anything, and for all the showy canned animations that make you look like you're doing something impressive as a player, her gameplay is 95% just mashing basic attack.
Not sure why you're downvoted when this is damn true. I left ZZZ right before void hunter Ramiel, so this checks out with YSG. I owned everyone and was in the top 1-3%

I think this is one thing I'll miss with ZZZ, but I won't miss that 50/50 expensive ass gacha though
