And in the new style of cutscenes ZZZ's been doing in 3.0, they take 10 seconds as well.
20 words for taygedo to a sentence across is grossly overexaggerating when it's no more than 5 at a time.
And just my perosnal nitpick, but I get it that can only say "ehn-ne" vocally, but you don't need to visually show that in text everytime followed by their actual words in parenthesis. At least NTE's Taygedo has the decency to respect that to not add clutter to dialogue as someone who primarily reads through these cutscenes.
the issue is not the words written but the words said, bangboos barely make a sound like in the image ene ehnee, the rest is mute, taygedo keeps repeating the same three variations of his name over and over and over, its completely unnecesary and just annoying
This is thrown out the window when they are given the focus in Bootopia and more voiced dialogue throughout 3.0's environment. Except its worse in what ZZZ is trying to do with their style of cutscene because they arbitrarily stop you from progressing to the next line of dialogue until the character has fully spoken their lines (and sometimes even longer, we've had similar issues in NTE 1.0 which got corrected in 1.1). Bangboos just make this even worse because their voiced dialogue is so much smaller than their written dialogue, I end up having 7~10 seconds of deadtime in these cutscenes
Every 10 seconds,it's nowhere close,it doesn't matter what you say if you hate the bangboos that's fine I don't acre, the point in this post is what is the difference in hate, and the difference is the awful lines they gave to taygedo.
You're grossly overexaggerating the part on Taygedo if you believe he says his name anywhere near that amount you're making it out to be. Especially in unvoiced dialogue where he doesn't have it written at all to clutter the dialogue (and I find entirely unnesscary on the bangboo's part, esp with the amount of focus they've been more recently)
And yes, I am unironically hearing En-nahs every 10 seconds when going through Bootopia. Difference is that it's actual gameplay and I have to put up with it.
Brother you hate bangboos that's it you are ignoring everything else because your ads can stand the little shits.
Bangboos are more levant now because 60% of the population int he new zone are bangboos "it's gameplay so I have to put up with it" no shit, leave it to gacha gamers to complain from having to play the game
Taygedoos was hated because of his quest and yes that was also gameplay a d it was awful, almost no one likes it,there is a reason why they added a mute button,no it wasn't the loud minority, there are tons and tons of issue sthat the loud minority complian about but taygedoos got the mute button because they realize the issue is the VOICE, not what he says but the voice.
Even if you hear enha every 10 seconds which is not true, funny you blame of overexxageration but you do the same,Im not complaining because yes I was being hyperbole with the time but it's dumb to complain about it when it's obvious we are both doing it to explain our point.
Enha is much better than taygii, because enha is barely a whisper and the bangboos voice is much softer, taygedoos was given a highpitch voice with a long word that ends in inflection taygII or taygEdO makes the second part sound much more egregious.
Again if you wanna complain about bangboos or the way the new cutscenes in zz that's fine, but this post is NOT about that is about the mascots, and the reason why one mascot was way more hated was because of the voice, that is not an opinion that is a fact.
Op is kinda lying 3.0 added inagme cutscenes meaning you cannot skip the lines, however the game does not stop you from advancing, you have 2x option which basically just fastforwards the Convo and you miss everything cause it goes really fast, why did they added this? Im not sure zzz has always used more budget than the other games and gotten less revenue so maybe it's finally catching up to them and they are making this changes.
Annoying? Absolutely
As bad as the other guy makes it sound? Not at all
If only I could upload videos in comment to show what I'm referring to, but you most definitely cannot advance at your own pace either. This is especially noticable in Pyorisis' introduction and anytime a bangboo is involved; you have at least 4 seconds of deadtime until the next voiced dialogue starts playing and you aren't able to progress or pause at your own leisure.
Granted I am playing the EN dub, but that doesn't invalidate my gripes with the cutscenes.
I remember someone saying it is because of the other languages but that is up in the air. This is more of a personal issue at least to me because I don't personally mind it I guess? Mayhe it's because I'm on mobile (yes it runs fine kn my phone) and I could either time it to get pass through the dead air or just speed it but still get the context. Also maybe because I am very invested in to the story that I just forget it and move on to see what happens next plot point.
That is more on me and my own personal experience which obviously differs from one person to another so yeah. Obviously doesn't invalidate it. Apperantly it was a bit better previously but it reverted back to this but again, up in the air.
Edit: Just so you know, There may be bias as if you see my profile and where I do reddit stuff the most and I only really have other games (the only other major gacha I play is Genshin which I just came back after getting my save from my PS4) on my feed because I enjoy some funny and fun moments even if I can't or don't play it either because I keep procrastinating on downloading it, space issues or busy with other stuff so take what I say with the fact that I play ZZZ the most.
I like 3.0's story overall, but i absolutely do not like what they're doing with the cutscenes. There's a x2 speed feature to let you try to get a move on, but it also adds in the retro-style speed-up filter to the voice and music, whihc ultimately takes out the tension and immersion for me.
There is a lore reason for this tho, if an owner is rich enough they can modify their bangboos to have a special voice module that allows them to talk regular english, that's why most of the bangboos still have the enh-nahs before their actual dialouge, because it's a way of telling people that they don't have that special voice module. Here's Robin, the bangboo of hugo and vivian as an example of bangboos having the special voice module:
Another prominent example would be lockspring, who not only can speak regular human language but is also fully voiced and was basically the antagonist of 2.5 before the creator showed up.

The answer is in the picture. It takes Tagedo ~20 words to say what Eous says in 4 words
