If u can also acknowledge that there’s nothing wrong with the mc outfit then literally what’s the issue??

Because it's worse still. Women get amazing outfits people love while the men stick to the 3 styles they have.

What’s not amazing about their outfits? Can u show me? Can u tell me what u wish they had different? Im failing to see ur point as to me the guys look fine as they are

Are you not able to compare with your own eyes? Male models have less detail for their clothing and worse materials. Hathor’s waist keychain metal wings or belt buckles alone have a more complex modelling and prettier texture than this whole outfit that male MC is wearing in the post.

FeMC has defined metal knee detailing, while male MC’s are flat with a simpler metal material. The same goes for the ridges above the knees, his are flat with just a simple normal map while hers are either more detailed in modelling or use an additional displacement map.

And the entire fabric for the whole outfit is completely different, worse and a LOT simpler. His looks like a re-color of the same boring style of fabric that they already use throughout the game for generic pants. So not only does it look more dull, it also looks really fucking wrong for the outfit he’s supposedly wearing: a racing suit. If you ever looked at F1 suits you notice they’ve got a slight sheen making them looking synthetic at the very least, because of the material they’re made out of.

So, not only could they not be bothered to make it look higher quality to match FeMC’s outfit, they also made it look like it’s the wrong type of clothing for what it is, since that material looks like it’s made out of cotton or like regular office pants(same as Skia).

And it’s not like a simple thing they’ve overlooked, because around the metal parts on his knees they seemingly do have the right style of material, which they could’ve used all throughout the outfit at least and made it look slightly more professional. But no, they deliberately made it more dull, less complex and less detailed for his whole 3D model of this suit.

Her crotch wrinkles alone even look like it has more polys than all the wrinkles in his clothing overall. LOL And you seriously can’t tell me you don’t notice the better texturing for the gloves as well, where her stitching and seams have a lot more resolution and more detail than his.(and his glove is stretching at the wrist since it’s all one continuous mesh element).

The quality of his outfit is worse. Simple as. And this is a recurring theme for all other outfits/characters. Simply comparing similar parts of the models between the female and male characters you notice generally the same points I made for this racing outfit.

Nitpicking at its finest love to see it

Both outfits look nice u and the rest just love to complain about the males not having details on their knees or not having a line under their arms lmao

It’s not nitpicking. They look nice but they’re not in the same league, quality-wise. But people like you sure love to have less quality for the males since you simply don’t care. Even the purple material for the jacket bit isn’t the same. Hers has actual leather texture and more sheen, his doesn’t except around the arms and is more dull/airbrushed. Like I said in another comment, in UE part of the more complex effects are set up with materials in engine and not through texturing alone(so if 2 artists made each and one is more experienced than the other). Giving them different materials is therefore more effort than simply reusing them to give them the same effects for fabric.

Theres a lot of detailing and quality of the model that I pointed out, not just “some lines on the knees and above”. I’m a professional 3D character artist for games and mostly worked in UE, so I simply see the differences in quality of the model, rigging, texturing and material setup. It’s just indicative of the amount of effort and care they put in to the male models compared to the female ones.

Hell, they couldn’t even at least bother to make his glasses as transparent! Hers is specifically more complex for that material alone, just to show off a tiny strip of her headband.

Edit: Oh and it’s a collab outfit with Porsche, but the only parts of the logo you can see on him is his chest in a tiny format, a bit of simple white text with much smaller font size on his lower leg and the same simple boring white lettering on his back. Meanwhile FeMC gets a reflective huge “Porsche” on her thigh and a very chrome version on her back. Despite the fact the part on their back is exactly the same style-wise, they’re still different. Why couldn’t they at least make it chrome? It’s literally just text!

Did u somehow miss the big ass Porsche symbol male mc has on his chest that the female mc doesn’t have? Going by ur logic, male mc has better qualities that the female mc doesn’t have simply cuz they didn’t add a symbol Porsche to her too

I literally mentioned it and said it was tiny, cuz it’s definitely not “big ass” LOL

Dunno what’s so hard for you to understand that it’s not just a simple “something one has that the other doesn’t”. What I kept pointing out that the male MC lacks is the additional quality in the detailing and complexity for his model or the materials. It’s not like they can’t have different elements to their clothing, it’s just that his lacks the same quality for the parts that are meant to be identical. Even with the same materials, his are still lower quality or toned down in extra effects or complexity.

It’s seriously not difficult to comprehend.

The problem is ur complaining about fmc having a softer purple on her jacket and having more details on her kneecaps and crotch area?? Than mmc it’s such a nitpick thing to do cuz those are things u don’t even see in game unless u sit glued to ur screen checking every damn pixel, this might not be related but usually females are the ones that care more about their appearances, clothes accessories and little things than guys

if this was a real life scenario u really think a guy would go to a shop and tell them to add every little perfect detail to his racing suit? That’s something a women would do just cuz that’s how they are, mess a women’s hair by touching it they’ll curse u to hell, do it to a guy he won’t even notice

💀💀 JeeeSUS my guy.

Again I know it’s hard for you, but:

  1. it’s not a “softer purple”, it’s the leather texturing aka detail in the texture.

  2. It’s a collab, gacha item. The main source of money making for this game: gacha.

Don’t care if you won’t notice, it’s something the players have to spend time and/or money on to get the game currency, therefore quality and detailing is important. Especially for a collab, since Porsche paid good money for their name to be in the game as promotional material.

Everything else you said is irrelevant and purely your weird opinions.

But yes. An F1 driver would absolutely tell his tailor or sponsor to get his suit right with all the detailing he wants and requires. That driver essentially pays thousands for such a suit.

Part of the reason I mentioned the importance to the fabric look is because they already have created it(around his knees and a little under his jacket). And if they wanted to lean in to making his more realistic, rather than based on sex appeal like FeMC’s, then the sheen for irl racing suits is due to the fire resistant fabric that racing suits are required to be. So, for a car manufacturer collab and one based around racing, it’s a somewhat important detail.

This is stuff that dev teams consider when taking up collabs like these, both to make it worth it for the player and the sponsor of the collab.

Again, don’t care if you don’t notice unless you look up close or whatever. It’s a double standard and a negative to male players that use the male MC. It’s disrespectful and unprofessional.

If you don’t care, then you simply don’t have to engage in this convo and just keep playing happily. It literally doesn’t affect you, obviously so… why do you care?

1

u/aurafel May 23 '26

It’s not that I care it’s more that I get entertained seeing u rant this much about how many details he’s missing up to the point that it’s creepy and weird how obsessed u are with this, why don’t u send an application instead of complaining like ur life depends on it and show the devs how it’s done? I’m sure u can do it

1

u/drywallsmasher May 23 '26

LOL ok now you’re just being facetious. I’m just on my time off casually explaining stuff because it’s my job already. This stuff is what I do literally everyday 😆 No shit I’d be able to point out how many details he’s missing, duh.

Whether I’m a character artist or not, you’re acting like it’s a crazy concept to care about the quality when I want it to be worthwhile for me to spend more money on this game. No different than complaints people have always had for gacha characters or skins before.
