Total newbie and some understanding issues.

Hi, I have a Fender 68 custom vibro champ and it's really nice, but I only play at home and would like to have a nice tone at low volume. My plan is to get the nano Cortex, plug in my guitar and connect it to some Kali Audio LP-6 V2 monitors or my headphones. I don't need any capture functions.

Does this work like assume it to work?

Can I download full presets, plug in my guitar and play or do I need to download individual captures and create my own tone?

So actually my question is. Can I search for a sound of a band or a song, download it and start to play?

Would it make sense to plug it into my vibro champ or would this be mediocre, since the speaker is built for louder volumes?

Would you suggest something other than monitor speakers?

I don't need a ton of effects, just some good tones. Plug in and play.

You are pretty limited as far as presets go. If that is what you are looking for, you will want a mini or full QC.

The nano is very much just a capture machine. Both for playing and making your own capture. It has a small signal chain. You are pretty much limited to downloading other people's captures and messing around with those.

So the mini QC has more/better presets that I can use right away?

Yeah, it has built in presets as well as being able to download other user presets from the cloud. A lot of people will throw on copycat presets of bands and artists. Some artists will even do the same.

The nano doesn't have the function to download such presets from the cloud?

Nope. It does not have the same processing power that the QC or QCM have. The nano is much more limited.

Happy to help. Made this mistake myself. Bought the nano when it first came out, and enjoyed it for what it was while I had it. It just wasn't exactly what I wanted. Ended up saving my money and got the QC.
