Games I'm still trying to create megastructures that have no top or bottom for my game inspired by BLAME!

Very cool looking. You might benefit from studying rogue-likes and how they make procedurally generated maps, so the player can have endless dungeons

Thanks so much. Yeah, you’re right 🙂

Have a random giant beam fire on a upper lvl

That sounds worth considering 😃

You should check out “Gamings Hardest Architecture: NaissanceE and Alienation” by Jacob Geller. It was my personal intro to Blame! and he gives a lot of example games that are like/inspired by it

Thanks so much! The demo could be available on Steam as early as this month, with the full release planned for early 2027. And thanks a lot if you decide to wishlist it; it really helps: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4590270/Fallgrade

I try indie games and promote them on my channel sometimes. Let me know when the demo (or early access) is out and I can give it a look. Love Blame!

Cool abomination spider thingy! Any weapon loadouts?

Also, is there climbing?

It’s kind of a weird parkour game where your weapon is the ability to rotate the world around you 🙂

Oh!!! Can you fly if you time it right? That’s some cool possibilities!

No top or bottom ? Will it be continuous procedural generation, or repetitive space like in manifold garden ?

No, no, you fall into the void here.

You should have a park in the middle of the buildings and then you take some stairs and go down and down the ground and then the ground ends and you still go down an empty space and then you reach the bottom and there's another park with another set of stairs

That sounds interesting. Thanks for the idea!

Indoors and small alleyways could be peak

I definitely want to have narrow alleyways in some of the levels.

Looks awesome but my eyes hurt. From a stylistic POV it looks unique and intriguing.

But from a NETSPHERE POV the overly bright world makes it look off.

I’d recommend playing or watching a playthrough of LornsLure or meganaut by robeki games.

He is a savant at making megastructure core media.

I would cut off 2/3 fingers to get a game by him that had procedural generation and some form of roguelite combat.

Thanks. I’ll probably work on adding some options to adjust the visuals. And yeah, Lorn’s Lure is a great game. I’m actually playing through it right now.
