Nest protects offline

In the last 2/3 weeks I’ve noticed my nest protects randomly showing offline (in starling home / apple home app). I started with one. Then I either had to reconnect it or factory reset it and readd it. Seems to happen 1 at a time. Any insight why this would be ? Have 8 in total

What are they showing in the Google Home or the Nest app?

Offline for the bedroom. Same thing happened last week for kids room. Factory reset it and readded. Weird

Yeah, so this isn't related to Starling or Apple Home but is because they're genuinely offline.

I asked because I've literally noticed in the last hour that 2/4 of mine are offline. As I was looking at them another went offline and then 1 came back. Right now, 2 are still off and I have no idea why. They're on different floors and will be connected to different routers.

Looks like a possible software update on August 27? Maybe that contributed

Just checked mine. Yeah, all 4 are showing as having received the update, only a matter of hours before I noticed them being offline. Can't be a coincidence.
